Realistically, Pokemon has as much chance of dying as Mario.
Well, everything created by man ends eventually...so Mario and Pokemon will end some day as well. It's actually a good thing...it clears the stage for new ideas.

i am tired of pokemon by now, so yes if i was the only customer i would say stop. however it still sells right? so keep on producing, that would be a sound business decision.

I have only ever played Generation 1 games until a couple of days ago where I acquired a Gameboy Colour Pokemon Silver as I want to try and catch up with the games a little bit.

I think they should just refine the gameplay now, stop adding more Pokemon so I can catch up

I don't really care anymore. I stopped playing pokemon after the 3rd gen. I just borrowed once pearl from a friend to see how it is. But we all know Nintendo, they'll never let it die as long as people still buy the games.

No, they don't need to stop. You just need to remove your nostalgia goggles and open your yourself to the new stuff. It is just as good, if not better than the original.

In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy my pokemon games and allow myself to be excited about the new pokemon game developments.

Every time a new generation of pokemon come out yet ANOTHER batch of like minded individuals that the pokemon franchise is going too far and getting too stale is born.

Hi, I'm one of the set from after Ruby and Sapphire, how ya doing? Welcome to the fold.

Even if the creature designs are getting worse, the gameplay gets better with each iteration of the series. Although if they are going to carry on after black/white, maybe they could just go for new regions/storylines (or just have a storyline beyond 'Stop team whatever, get badges, beat elite four') instead of making yet more creatures? Seriously, more than 500? I never got all of the original 150, never mind Mew... (Though I did have missingno. at one point. Didn't everyone?)
So yes, I'm in favour of it continuing. I'd just like something new brought to the plate other than just more pokemon in a different region.

I haven't seen a Pokemon MMORPG yet, so I'm hoping that they won't finish until then.

Though it has been getting a little stale. I adored the first three generations, but the 4th felt more like pulling at straws than anything else.

The only thing that might salvage the new games is if the starters get super-duper awesome evolutions, because so far the only good thing I've seen about this game are the protagonists.

I've been waiting for a Mature rated version of Pokemon. Why? Because I just do. I don't want it to be gory or risque, I honestly want it to be mature... although a little gore doesn't hurt. But I agree that we need more variation and choices... I nominate this man and/or woman to write the next one...

I remember when it first rose... those days were horrifying. ... the horror...

I'm sorry. I don't give a shit what they look like. Nintendo and Game Freak have fine-tuned the gameplay to PERFECTION and somehow managed to keep a pretty good balance with 500 pokemon.

KEEP 'EM COMING!

As long as they keep up with adding new pokemon, I'll probably buy it eventually. I've played every generation and enjoyed every minute of it.

Except Gold/silver, which I like, but never finished because my 3 brothers and I agreed to switch starters every Gen (IE me = charmander, bro 1 = bulbasaur, bro 2 = squirtle. Then next gen it was me = totodile, bro 1 cyndaquil, bro 2 = chikorita, yo get the dea) and I didn't have an OP fire type starter.

So, you feel that something you once loved (digimon in this case) Should be allowed to be screwed up by a countless number of people forever burning into your mind the insanity that is this newborn?!

They should have stopped after Pokemon Gold and Silver, but who cares, Pokemon is always fun, I wish they made a PC game with all their Gameboy/DS games on ^_^

P.S...

It must never rise! Never!
Yes please. A PC pokemon game.
And no digimon!

OT: No, they're doing pretty alright. It's always fun to see what new pokemon they've came up with.
