The fact that Square-Enix has barely received any votes is a perfect reminder to me that the state of gaming has devolved into absolute shit. Yet at the same time, I am currently playing through FFXII and realizing exactly why Square-Enix doesn't have very many votes...

In light of the above, I'll still stick by Square-Enix because they developed the following:

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Chrono Trigger
Illusion of Gaia
Dragon Quest
Ogre Battle
Star Ocean: The Second Story
Final Fantasy Tactics
Secret of Evermore
Valkyrie Profile

Bioware, clearly.
People seem to be forgetting that Square hasn't developed a good RPG in years.
From where I'm sitting, neither has Bioware.
You seem to forget that it's all opinion.
Yes, and I was expressing mine. Thought that was obvious... were my words too big or something?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Valkyrie Profile was developed by Tri-Ace.

Square Enix gets my vote. I loved the PS1 Final Fantasies and I hope I am fanboy enough to love FFXIII since some seem to hate it. BioWare hasn't impressed me yet..At least not with Dragon Age.

My second on that list is Bethesda but because I just recently ran through Oblivion and right after that Fallout 3 I don't have the need for a Bethesda game for now.

???
No, you were passing an opinion (about Square) as fact. I corrected you.
What, was it too painful to hear that not everyone agrees with you?
Of course it's my opinion. I typed it. Apparently, you're the only one who didn't catch that.

Honestly I thought Black Isle Studios would get much more votes. From what I've heard, Escapists love their games.

I quote:
"People seem to be forgetting that"

That's passing opinion as fact.
Now stop talking to me.
I quote:
"DA:O was a dull, boring rehash."

That's also passing an opinion as fact. But since you typed it, I knew it was your opinion. Apparently, you're the only one here too thick to catch that when I said it. Forums are mostly opinions, we don't need someone jumping in to say "NUH UH, THAT'S YOUR OPINION." after every post.

Black Isle is by far the best with Planescape; Torment and Fallout 2.

The lack of Troika is very annoying to me though. I only played one game by them, Arcanum, but that game alone is great. (

Black Isle Studio for me.
Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2 and they assisted on Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II. Hats down.

Bioware is very, very close. But hell, Fallout was the first.

Square Enix is my favorite. They've brought me my favorite RPGs so far.
