Probably depends on what you're getting it for. I don't have a good PC, so I ended up getting it for the 360. I had already played Portal, and Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2 wasn't really that good on the 360, and so overall it really didn't do too much for me. I'm under the impression that TF2 is a lot better on the PC though. And if you haven't played Portal it's probably worth buying just for that.

As others have said, get it now. The Orange box is one of the best purchases I've ever made, and valve deserves 3x what they charge for it now.

Absolutely. Over 60 hours clocked in to every class on Team Fortress 2, Portal is a fantastic game, and All 3 half lives don't fall short of expectation. Buy. This. Game.

Also, check the avatar. I love the whole bundle that much, not just TF2. Though TF2 has taken up most of my summers.

Exactly this. You can probably get it for like...20 bucks. That's $6.33 for three of the best games ever, and one comes with two expansion packs.

I swear there was a conversation about this already. Maybe it was for something different...and I am too lazy to search the forums.

But yes. Get Orange Box. TF2 and Portal are fantastic. If you haven't played any of the Half-Life episodes, don't. You'll end up like me, sending death threats to Gabe Newell.

And Gabe, if you're reading this. Episode 3 now or else. I am only 280 miles away and I'm not doing anything this weekend.

What they lack in modern graphical whiz-bang they make up for with incredible art direction. It won't have super crazy rendering effects but the games still look great.
