My boyfriend saw it, and said that while it was disgusting, it was brilliant.

Not something I'd watch (in fact even the trailer freaked me out a little), but the cinematography is meant to be great. Just that usual flaw you find in horror which is intense stupidity.

I suppose they set out to freak people out, and they did.
As far as I know, the people who funded the film weren't actually aware of just what it was about/ what it would be like until it was put together

I saw some clips, for me the actual human centipede wasn't all that disgusting; Im pretty tolerant. I guess having to eat nothing but shit for the rest of your life would be pretty nasty though.

Sure, but it wouldn't really be such a long life anyways. Shit doesn't exactly have any significant nutritional value.

On topic, I've watched the movie and it was hilarious. The plot and the characters (or, well, the character, because everyone but the doctor were pretty boring) were so ridiculous and abstract, I couldn't stop laughing.

And the reaction it gets from people on the internet is just priceless.

He kidnaps people to do horrific experiments on, then they suffer for awhile, then cops intervine, people die. I did not actually see it, but from what I read, it makes me think of Saw 1.

Well, actually I saw it and I got the impression this is the director#s personal fetish. If you watch is a satire of scat/gross horror movies it can get hilarious.
If you look a little deeper it is a solid film but just average. I guess it is only popular because it is nasty and has a somewhat unique premise.

It was alright. As a spectacle it wasn't interesting but in terms of acting, script, music, settings, costumes and storyline it was rubbish

The had so much potential and all that happens is it walks about a bit and then everyone dies.. Sorry to spoil it for anyone but the main point is the spectacle and if you're seeing it for that reason go for it but as a film or even a horror film it is rubbish in almost every single way

And yeah me neither, Besides I much prefer psychological horror movies. Mainly because I find that anyone with an active imagination can throw together a bunch of batshit insane things and come up with a body horror movie.
