i think nudity (although i hate the idea) should be removed entirely in gaming simply because it gives the media and those mothers something to complain about, "OH, what about the children?" what kind of bullcrap is that?
Clothes are irrelevant. The only reason people wear clothes is because of the hard wired shame people feel. It takes a little while to get over it, but it can be done. Social conventions rail against it also, for no good reasons. Did you know that in communities where nudity prevalent there are almost no sex crimes? Think on that.
Maybe casual, NON-SEXUAL, nudity in games is a start.

I remember alot of zelda fangirls going crazy because link went topless in one part of the game.
Sex sells, Imagine if Crysis had Female marines with big boobs rather then the manly marines.
I believe someone was making a mod of that.

When you here of people finding ever creative ways to make The Sims glitch in order to look at their bodies removed of their censor patches to gaze upon their strange, genital removed bodies, you have to wonder. Why?

i think that the higher rated games could stand to feture a bit more nudity than they currently do, especially the 18s. they're already 18 rated, they can't get much higher than that, so what's the problem. the more mature people among us should be able to cope with it!
I really think that there should only be nudity and sex in a game if it actually furthers the plot of the game (that sex-scene in Darkwatch doesn't count)
Nudity itself is not a goal, though if it complies with the storyline and fits in naturally then there is no reason why it should be limited or not used. Sex/nudity are a natural part of human behaviour, and as long as the focus of the game isn't on the nudity, but the nudity further propagates the plot, then I have no problem with it - I would actually say that I encourage it.
There is naturally a problem with it - it tends to cause panic among concerned parents and the media, and thus heightens the rating level, making the game unacquireable for younger members of the gaming community - though I personally think that shooting someone's head off with a steam powered gun that shoots six inch railway spikes at point blank requires more of a "Mature" rating than what the implementation of some nudity would recquire.
I'm not asking that games are turned into some erotic form of entertainment, just that it finds its natural place, and that it isn't stigmatised as "unproper" or something along those lines.
