The worst is 'epic', 'fail', etc... It's so completely stupid, and it contributes nothing. It also irritates me when people use 'lol' as a punctuation mark.
All of them irritate me, curmudgeon that I am, but poor spelling and grammar disturb me the most-- It's usually younger kids, and they are going to learn the hard way that both using proper English and being able to spell correctly are not OPTIONAL skills!

Seriously, txt spk when you don't have a character limit on your message is retarded. '1337 5p33k is just a lame attempt at trying to look cool... and just looking dumb. lolcatz is usually somebody trying to be cute and/or funny... and failing. Engrish in the sense of a non-native speaker fumbling over word selection and usage isn't offensive, but lately I see it being employed more in a lame attempt at comedy.

While all of them annoy me (except perfectly normal) I dislike poor spelling the most, it feels to me like the person typing is in a really big hurry, which they most likely aren't.
Frankly all forms of internet speak are total balls and anyone who uses them, no offence, should be kidnapped and forced to write out 'I must use proper grammar all of the time' 5000 times with their loved ones blood as ink.

I don't know when appropriate grammar, sentence structure and spelling became a luxury. Irritates me seeing other people use hardcore leet speak, but I have to admit I've used 'lol' a lot of times, but that's about it. Jumping from the internet to say, an Orwell essay, is rather jarring. Text speak is worse than having splinters forcibly pushed under your fingernails. I hate it so, so, so very much. The beauty of words is their fluidity and flexibility, but dumbing them down is not a method of appropriate manipulation.
Really? 1337 has charm? But believe me, poor grammar is often far more than just mistakes. Most that do it on here are just too lazy to hold down shift before they type a letter and go back to correct something to make it slightly legible... /rant.A random person said:
