Christ I was.... 10 when they came out? .... blimey.

Thanks for making me feel old. Time for me to go download the movies and watch them again.

Wow I had a hint of a few memories flooding back to me when I went to watch those films (I remember when me, my bro and our friend went to the cinema to watch The Two Towers, it was jam packed and we end up sitting at the very left side to watch it).

In my view the Lord of the Ring trilogy was like our version of Star Wars as in the excitement and going to see it etc.

Wow, I must be overdue to go back and watch them again

Certain parts of the films haven't aged well - the animation of the ents, for example, never sat well with me when the movies first came out and time hasn't exactly been kind to them either. But those are small things. On the whole I think the movies stand up as a pretty amazing achievement, and the passion and dedication of pretty much everyone that worked on them still shows.
