I'd say Sam Fisher. No theatrics, no fucking around, just straight to-the-point badassery. Alex Mercer isn't as dark and edgy as he seems to think he is, while Master Chief kind of seems like he would have grown up to be huge douchebag if he wasn't abducted to become a Spartan. Johny Gatt is disqualified for looking thoroughly goofy and Kratos is just a straight up psychotic nutcase. And I think Duke Nukem is disqualified too for making the competition just too unfair for everyone else.

Wrex would definitely get my vote if he was on here.

Well clearly the answer is Frank West from Capcom's Dead Rising. He's covered WARS you know!

Either Kratos or Master Chief. I chose the Chief because he was the first character I've really gotten to know in video games. Except Link. Link's the friggen man. but Master Chief definitely because he's on you're little list there.

For me it was a fight Between Kratos and Duke. To Kratos's credit, he is bad and knows it. However, the Duke is the Duke.

From your list though, I'd vote for Kratos.

Among the choices, Kratos, without a doubt. He's a brutal and cruel killer that practically revels in the suffering of others, but only when he decides for any given fleeting moment to actually care enough to enjoy the killing. Seriously, people try creating bad-asses, but he pretty much breaks the mold... and not before he rips it's wings out, twists it's limbs to their breaking point, and impales them through the eyes with the nearest pike, branch, or random spiky thing.

Naked Snake would be a solid second, but only because he's like gaming's Bear Grylls.
