Poll: The new name of the Xbox One. The One80?

After the news that microsoft will no longer have the DRM policy and block used games I noticed that most people here are not calling it the Xbone anymore. So after this turnaround do we call it the One80, the One, or still the Xbone (since our clothes were still ripped off even if we didn't get raped)?

As far as I'm concerned, it is, and always will be, the Xbone. I think that it should be left as a scar to remind Microsoft what happens when they try something like this.

Also - this console has a silly name and it must be ridiculed.

I don't care that they changed their plans. The fact they tried to push those limitations on us and only backtracked when they saw it wasn't working lost them my trust. Plus, I don't have a great history with them anyway. So Xbone it is.

Probably just "One", since I'm too lazy to call it by it's full name, likewise I will call the PS4 "4".

I never called the Xbone the Xbone just because I disliked the system, I called it that because I enjoyed that you could get a stupid immature name from portmanteau of the actual name.

I do like One80 though.

I really hate the xbone as a name, One80 is a great pun but I can't see it staying relevant past this month. X1 is disjoint and doesn't flow at all and the Xbox One is way too long (and makes me think of the original xbox). So I guess it's going to be the 'one' and in my head there's a huge sense of irony in how I pronounce that.

I'd like to go on record saying that it's fitting that Microsoft chose a terrible name that perfectly encapsulates the console generation where Mirrors Edge 2 is known as 'Mirrors Edge' and Star Wars Battlefront 3 is called 'Star Wars Battlefront'


And Sony doing the sane and sensible thing even beat out their competitor on putting a name on the box. The PS4, it's not fancy but at least it's not actively impairing functionality

It will always be Xbone to me. The Playstation 4 is abbreviated to PS4 so the Xbox one is Xbone. The one sounds like it's your fiancee, and X1 is so plain it could stand for anything.

I think the Xbone name served it's point, but as with it's inception, it's down to the internet hive mind. I'm happy with the Xbox One80. But, the Xbone will always have a special place in my heart.

I will call it, X1, XBone, Xbox 180, and anything else I want to call it. It will depend entirely on what I want to refer to it as.

Also, I really hate it's called the Xbox One. Now, I have to refer to the original Xbox as the "Original Xbox". That's annoying. Since if I say Xbox One, half the time I have to clarify. And I have said Xbox One referring to the Original Xbox in the past and even recently. Whoever named it should be fired.

They may at a later date bring their stupid policies back, so either would seem to be apt in that scenario. Outside of that Xbone is just more of goad overall, and therefore more fun.

I would like to posit one incredibly stupid name though, the X80ne.
I do realize in advance that this name is stupid, and will probably get rejected, but I might as well try it.

The name "Xbone" doesn't even reference DRM, it's just the self-evident nickname for a product that's full name is XBox ONE.

Ive never called it the Xbone, because it seems really immature and mainly used by people who cant criticize Microsoft in a non-bias tone.

Ive called it the X1 because I feel it fits the best, and will probably continue to call it that, but Xbox One80 is actually pretty funny, so here and there I might use it.
