No; Not because I think the PS4 is "a disgusting console", I just never liked Playstations really. Doesn't mean I don't hope it succeeds.

Basically this...I got my Wii U on day one and I've been really, really happy with it! I've beaten Mario Bros U, Lego City U and, caught up on Wii games that I missed out on these past years. Can't wait for Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3 and, Game & Wario. What the Hell happened with Deus Ex by the way? As for the PS4, I've given my view on it a few times before so here it is again because I like repetition: It's a Playstation! I plan on waiting until the slim model is released before I get mine. By then the launch games and many other 3rd party games will likely have hit bargain-bin prices. This is all depending on the size of the console though I suppose...we don't know how big or small the original model will be so if the slim or MK.II isn't significantly smaller or, better in whatever way I may just grab the original model since the MK.II will drive down the price of...that...one...
Yes - "pending other announcements". The announcements I'm looking for include;
- It's about £150 now (I know that won't happen for a while)
- You can't buy new gen games anymore, they're all on the PS4, XBox One & Wii U
- Here are at least 4 games you really really want for it.
THEN I'll very very likely get one. I may get a Wii U first if it gets enough exclusives I'd love - like a new Super Smash Bros or something. And yeah I'd be a sucker for a new Zelda.

Of course I'm pending announcements, but so far the PS4 is looking good. The standout things so far I can mention are it's going to have some possibly annoying social bullshit, and some possibly really useful recording capability. They look like they're happy to take the best path for all at the moment, which is to do the opposite of Microsoft and end up being decent. If the PS4 was going to penalise used games, or make me pay for online, I'd probably go to PC.

So for me it really depends on the pricing and what bundles are available to me, if I can get one with Shadow Fall, Second Son, and it either has a reasonable HDD or REPLACEABLE HDD/SSD (delicious R/W speeds...) then for around £400 it might be worth it to me, especially if my account and PS+ carry over. I do have a friend who's getting it day one so I'll have somebody to sink some hours into Killzone and Destiny with.
Otherwise this year I already bought a Wii U, and I'm planning on spending £800 on a new gaming rig ASAP.
Also I don't like the Xbox 360 cotntroller, dislike the stick layout and find it a tiny bit too bulky and jaggy, feels cheap to me.

On the topic of Mario Bros U, beat beat or just finished the game? I've got all the Star Coins up to world 6 and then half of the rest bar star road... Gotta say I hate fuzzies and munchers as much as ever ¬_¬

I have all of the Star Coins in every world, including Star World. Sadly, it doesn't change the seasons or make the enemies look like my head. The only things I haven't beaten are the various challenge maps but those aren't really bound to the profile like the levels are so I'm calling it beat-beat. Not 100% but as close as I've ever been in a Mario platformer. Those star-map levels are a MASSIVE pain in the ass. If you miss a single star coin you might as well just go back and try again from the beginning.SkarKrow said:

I think of buying both the PS4 and the Xbox One, but not for the first two years of their life. Nothing of the announcements so far has done anything to change my mind about either console, so from here on out it's a waiting game. Hopefully in two years time both platforms will have gathered a number of great titles, the price should have gone down and any technical faults will have been flushed out. Debating right now which of the two is going to be better and why is pointless- only time and experience can tell us that, everything else is just hype and hate!

Well, I'm not really in a position where I need a PS4 for next gen gaming (PC Gamer), but it's not as if the PS4 is actively repulsing me. If they come out with some awesome looking exclusives that turn out to be decent, I may pick one up on sale when I can afford it.
