yes it has every right to exist. But that is about the only thing it can find for its own defense. Now boys and girls, what does that really say about it?
That its the same garbage as school shooter mods etc. Yes people love to be edgy and say NO CENSORSHIP! but honestly what good reason do you have to not censor it? how does a game like that enrich peoples lives?
And dont pull the "helps addicts get off without hurting people" argument, because stuff like this builds and builds in the mind till eventually, they will need the real thing again. Trust me, its just that simple.

No, any and all fiction should be left alone. For most of us, every day we murder dozens, if not hundreds of virtual avatars in our games. We fight tooth and nail to protect our right to do that, banning rapelay just because it makes us uncomfortable is hypocrisy. I would never play any game like that, but the thing is that can be easily avoided. Just don't play it.

I don't believe it should be banned for several reasons. Primarily because if you ban one game based on the opinion of a group, regardless of how large that group may be, you potentially start a dangerous precedent. Who decides what is "immoral"? What is to stop the very same precedent from banning the next Call of Duty based on objective moral stances? Yes the camp who would defend Call of Duty is far larger than the would be virtual rapists, the principal is the same. If you don't want someone trying to legislate your morality for you, you have to return the favor.
The second reason is, if you don't like it, banning it from store shelves would be far less effective than the open minded alternative. This alternative would be to abstain from buying it. Hell, even go so far as to publicly encourage others to to it in a blacklisting campaign. If no one buys it, the producers and studios that turn out this sort of product, as well as the stores that sell it might think twice the next time something similar comes their way. Effect the change you would see in the world by practicing the change, not hamfistedly quashing what you may find personally offensive.
Just my 2 copper.

Is it creepy as all hell that somebody would want to play this? Sure.
Will I ever play it? Not a chance in hell.

If they banned all game that featured killing in any of it's forms, I'd say that would eliminate somewhere between 60 and 80% (percentage just pull out of nowhere, but it cannot be denied that killing is in a huge chunk of games) of all video games.
