Poll: The red ring

I just got the red ring, which sucks especially since I bought the elite model to avoid getting the bloody thing! So I call all my friends who have at one point or another owned a 360, and they've all had it too!!!! I knew it was a problem, but for everybody I know? Jesus tap-dancing christ! So now its poll time- to finally determine if more people get it than those lucky enough to avoid it.

I've had it 3 times on my console. And if you add up all the 360 owners I know (not a lot of them) there's around 15 cases of the red rings.

Anyway, I got RRoD'd once, but they fixed it in no time and I haven't had a hitch since.

I did after a trip to Vietnam. But a little penicillin cleared it right up.

I've had two 360s (I moved out of home hence the need to get a second one) one from release and one from late 07, and have never had a single problem with either. I know a few people that have had problems but at least microsoft covers them for 3 years for RRoD which is pretty good. It's a terrible design flaw no one is particularly excited about it, but at the end of the day I think the laser burns are far worse.

The Red Ring is like a myth to me, never had it and never will.

Never had a RRoD in the 1.5years me and my brother have had a 360 each in the house (they are newer HDMI consoles though)

we have had the DVD drives fail on both consoles however

Just once. Turned it off. Left it for a while to go swearing. Came back and it was fine.
