It doesn't bother me.
If there was malice behind it, or if he didn't recognize that it was offensive, then it would bother me but I think comedy has to be a little edgy to work. Wierdly, the things that cut the deepest in other context can sometimes be the most funny.
In the past when comics made gay jokes they fucking meant it and that was scary, there was no awareness of a potential gay audience who might be upset or offended, it was just assumed the audience was heterosexual and would join in because they felt the same contempt as the comic. Yahtzee's gay jokes on the other hand are pretty deliberate and always backed up with some kind of self aware commentary.
If a straight person cracked a gay joke in a casual situation it would still be pretty hit and miss so I wouldn't recommend it. But in comedy situations where someone is very deliberately putting on a persona, yeah, that's generally not too bad provided it doesn't sail too close to the wind.
On ****** specifically.. I don't care what South Park says on this, I've been called a fag too many times to ignore that for most people it's still a homophobic insult. You can use it in an ironic or joking way, sure, a lot of gay guys do that all the time, but your intention needs to be pretty clear or you risk sounding like a dick.

yeah even i think that's fucking stupid. as far as...everyone...is concerned really, homosexual is the 'proper' term for the sexuality. i don't see how homosexual is a negative connotation. it's just the word for it. same as heterosexual for straights and bisexual for bi people.ForgottenPr0digy said:

Besides, most uses of "******" don't really have any offensive weight; the spiderman/demon's souls ones, for example, were characterising a persona- for spiderman in particular, using "gays" or some other, more accepted term, wold have diminished the effect of the analogy.

I've only ever been offended by Yahtzee once. It was a recent video where he makes an analogy of two pregnant women thrown into an arena. Neither could leave until the other had killed and eaten the other's unborn fetus. And that sickened me, not because of the language he used, but of the imagery. I mean, I, as a woman, couldn't see any humour in it.
I responded in what I hoped was a mature way, by contacting him directly and letting him know of my reaction, as well as the fact that that was the first time I had reacted in such a way.
The language is colourful, but it is all for effect. Yahtzee is extremely good with words, and I suspect he picks extreme words to serve his hyperbole. So I've rarely been upset by his use of word "****" or his analogy comparing having a vagina to complete wussiness. I assume "******" is used in the same way.
