If I were to be offended by something as tame as "******" (and its derivatives), I'm afraid I'd probably have a pretty hefty fainting spell any time I heard the guy utter the word "****".

Just another case of someone being overly sensitive towards a term or word and it's use. I get tired of it. You think I'ma go off the bandwagon everytime someone calls me a cracker? Or pasty(as in refering to being white) or someone calling me a stupid religious idiot? (I am religious, but I don't throw it other peoples faces.)
Bottom line, people are becoming waaay too sensitive this day and age where you always have to watch what you say or be called a racist, sexist, or some other foul term.
Hell I watched a Lopez Tonight show yesterday where he was making Latino jokes and half the audience was too afraid to laugh at them, you could feel and see the nervousness in them. George himself looked a little perturbed at how sensitive people are these days.

I think the only time Yatzhee ever came close to offending me would be his less than tasteful Columbine Reference in his Just Cause 2 review. Other than, I just smile and wave.
It's mostly to make fun of those uber-machismo "hardcore gamers" who use the word ****** like it's an noun, verb, adjective, and preposition.
I've heard people say "******" will become the new "N-word" and that some gay groups found the word homosexual offense due to its negative connotations? I'm not gay so if anyone is tell me what you think about that.

Pfffff... Tell that to the Senior who flipped out on me the other day. I called my friends faggots for quiting on a game where I was winning and she flipped shit on me. So since then I've tried to be more sensitive, but it doesn't really offend me. I actually find it funny in it's own way. My gay friend flipped out like fuck over it and refuses to watch Yahtzee now cause he thinks he's a homophobic bastard.
of the examples I've given, only the Web of Shadows use actually got to me a tiny bit. the Mirror's Edge one is just used in the context of "arty pretentious bastard", shortened to '******'. Demon's Souls usage was used in such a way that it didn't seem to be about that, it was just there for laughs.
but the Web of Shadows one randomly, to me at least, seemed the most hostile one. i know he wasn't using it to be hostile, but to me it just came across as that. i still didn't get annoyed with it, but it seemed massively uneccesary for him to use the specific word '******' there when any other word to indicate a pathetic bastard would have worked.
