I lawled so hard at your "Alanis Morrissete (ironically)" option.

So for the fuck of it, I'll go with that.

I am gonna go for Christopher Lee. I love that Alan Rickman is on the list though.

One thing I was wondering when setting up the poll...Who would be the female voice of God as well? I was really struggling to come up with anyone.
Alex Kingston?

Nah, maybe too on the nose.

Given God exists (which he may or may not to - Atheists, suck it up and go with it for the purpose of this), and his voice is projected by the Metatron (Not a Transformer) so that us mere mortals can hear it...

When you hear the Voice of God, who does it sound closest to?
Spelling BRIAN BLESSED in caps lock was a nice touch.

Morgan Freeman is the first one I would nominate, but it would be infinitely more entertaining if it was GLaDOS torturing us mere mortals :D

If you had included Jennifer Hale as an option, then I suspect she would have garnered a lot of votes because a lot of people on here would prefer conversing with a "kickass sexy God".

Even though I voted for BRIAN BLESSED, on reflection I think God would have a calmer, all knowledgeable voice like Clement Freud, or a more jovial yet still commanding voice like Willie Rushton... or even an Epic and mischievous voice like Tom Baker.

I do not believe in a god, but I kinda like the idea of this.

Huh. I got a low content warning for my post....It was a picture! Don't pictures say a thousand words? I practically wrote a big essay.

Going to have to go with Morgan Freeman. Alan Rickman is the voice of Satan though, that man could tempt you to do pretty much anything.

Hmmm...what about your own? I like the idea of deities appearing as yourself, as you always felt you should be, but didn't live up to.
I like this idea the best. The Voice of God would sound different to everyone who heard it, even if multiple people heard it at once. It's God, it can do that sort of thing.

Statistically speaking, 9 out of 10 deities prefer Morgan Freeman as their vocal embodiment.

Hmmm, someone kind and comforting.

stephen fry i guess would be close, but it would also have to be someone with a lot of power behind their voice. I'm going to go with (brace yourself child psychologists) my Dad.

I tried to fit that in as "Someone you care about" - thinking it could be your Father/Daughter or similar.

It's easier to think about the Female God's voice as being of Mother Nature, I think, and Jo Brand would be awesome at that. Although now I'm thinking of Enya...gah.

Actually, if Morgan Freeman is the male voice of God, Aretha Franklin as the female voice?
