Heh yeah. Nice avatar BTW ;P

I would also accept James Mason as the voice of God. Forgot to put that in my previous post.
Hah, thanks, you too.
And do you mean the James Mason that was in Child's Play, y'know, the Child's Play that didn't suck.
This James Mason:

He was in a load of movies from the 30s onward IIRC. Died of cancer in 94 :(

Cannonfire.
If you don't agree, you've clearly never been danger close to a naval barrage.

"Morgan Freeman". Every other answer is wrong - they are objectively incorrect. Morgan Freeman's voice is what God's voice would sound like.

And I'm glad the poll is reflecting that with him winning. ^_^

Wasn't Don LaFontaine already nicknamed this?

<youtube=7QPMvj_xejg>

He's my choice anyhow.

Also Orson Welles...

And Peter Cullen/Optimus Prime. Oh yes.

I always thought Jeff Bridges had a pretty cool voice.

Morgan Freeman has a good voice too, but hes already been done

In my mind he sounds exactly like any prepubescent Xbox Live user who has managed to work out how to use the voice modulator settings on their headset, so that other people take them seriously.

James Earl Jones is the first voice for me. Nothing says God like a good Mufasa speaking to you.
Morgan Freeman would be my second choice, because lets face it, his voice is like silk.
My third choice would be Gordon Freeman, because he doesn't like to talk...

Malcolm Mcdowell. Man oh man does that man have a voice of a God. He can do a kind and gentle man and he can do a malevolent lord all in the same tone.

Nothing wrong with a hypothetical but starting with "Given God exists" is no different to an atheist starting a thread with "Given God's a myth". You can't be obvious about making your beliefs known and then tell others no to do the same. It's hypocritical.

I think he just wanted to prevent a load of God-is-not-real-comments. Just roll with it for the sake of the thread. Because even if there is be a God, he'd probably not speak like Morgan Freeman anyway.

Brian Blessed, really? I smell a yognaut.

Seriously though i'd probably go with morgan freeman. Though whoever said Alan RIckman is a genius. So i think i'd go with both. Shklee can switch back and forth depending on shkler mood.
