Why bother comparing then when they are such different games?
MW2 is the classic small box game play with a focus of killing the other side while BC2 is the large scale conflict with objectives and vehicles.
Its like comparing Halo to Mass Effect, they both have gun play but are very different.

i had more fun (online, we'll see how campaign goes) with the BF:BC2 demo than my entire experience with MW2, by several orders of magnitude.
Well I don't know which way to go, I am getting online for the first time ever so I don't know what the feel of each game is like.
COD seems alot faster pace, whereas battlefield seems alot slower 'cos the maps are so big, I get the impression your wandering round for most of the match wondering were the opposition is. As for glitching, I bet some will appear in battlefield. Battlefield looks the more realistic out of the two though.
I am not sure weather to get battlefield or not 'cos I think I will enjoy the faster pace of COD but I think most people will shift over to battlefield and I will be left all alone, bedsides the few people who couldn't afford battlefield.

I really shouldn't say before I've played both games, but I find myself less and less interested with CoD games with every release, the new battlefeild game looks really good.
However, as I'm predominantly a PC gamer (yes I have all the consoles, but wherever possible I game on PC...playing FPS/RTS/MMO/RPG nearly exclusively on PC) MW2 loses. As a console game it may pass, as a PC game it fails..Hard. I guess next time activision should port it properly, if I wanted an xbox/ps3 game that's what I'd buy, slapping a .exe on an xbox game doesn't count as porting it and having played the half assed platform before the others ruins any chance the game has of selling itself to me.

I played BC2 for maybe an hour before going back to MW2, simply because I got realy bored, realy fast. BC2 felt realy slow and awkward, and the huge maps ruined it completely. How can anyone enjoy sauntering aimlessly for a minute of the game, getting sniped, or running into an enemy tank or something, respawning and doing it again? I like the fast pace of MW2.
