Ohhhh yeah, 'cause reviews are a rounded opinion of my personal enjoyment aren't they?Abedeus said:Oh please, at least the troll before tried to use arguments.WrongSprite said:Who's a little fanboy? You're a little fanboy!Abedeus said:Half Life 2.

THE HELL.
Put... that... game...
IN THE POLL?! You should be ashamed.

Now. Say it again. Say Half Life 2 has a flaw. 96. From 81 reviews. One of the best PC games ever.
I don't particularly like Half life 2, just cause you like it, doesn't mean everybody else should.
Someone calling HL2, a game with 96% on Metacritics, even close to a BAD game, or putting it in "the worst game" poll isn't exactly the sharpest sword.

I don't agree with that statment. Their opinion just became a bit more famous, but not as important. I come to believe after watching x-play that money and fame can be a factor in messing up a review.Abedeus said:But if out of 81 professional critics game holds a 96% score (...come on), it means their opinions are a bit more important than yours is.
I dunno bout crap, but it's definitely over-rated.MortisLegio said:WTF?B T A M R D said:I'de say Half-Life 2 because it's crap and over-rated

The point of his poll was to see which of these great games people like leastDrakulla said:All the games on that poll list are awesome games and deserve you praise and worship, except Sonic.
And the worst game I ever played was Project Snowblind.
I love your logic, haha! I feel the same way about FF7 too. I've said a few times already on these forums. The game doesn't deserve the fan-tard following it has. I've played it... when it was new. It was okay, not great. I prefer Final Fantasy 4 or 6.SODAssault said:FF7, if only because the fanboys are creepy enough to write poetry about when Aeris
got owned like a ************ at the hands of an overly-effeminate villain. That was the only good part of the game.
This image makes me laugh because it makes fanboys cry.
Also, because it's the very definition of overrated.
Only Sonic's 3D games deserve to be scorned. In his heyday, those 2D side-scrollers were definitely of the "awesome" variety. Sonic 3 is just a bit of a low point. The second one will always be the favorite of many, many people.Drakulla said:All the games on that poll list are awesome games and deserve you praise and worship, except Sonic.
I second that motion, Yuko. Do you honestly need the obligatory 'yay' or 'nay' from some jackhole on a "professional" review site before you can make up your own mind (if you even get that far)?YukoValis said:I don't agree with that statment. Not only that, but play the whole game! I remember x-play doing a review of an old PC game that they said was aweful with only one bad ending. Ok so the game wasn't that good, but it had multible endings, and wasn't half as bad for the time. The fact is, I rather look at other people playing the game without commentary and judge from that.robinkom said:I second that motion, Yuko. Their opinions don't matter to me, nor do they affect my game purchases; Especially when they have NOTHING good to say about a game just because they don't like it (or are being fed large sacks of money with dollar signs on them by Sony or Microsoft).
I'd be increasingly more happy with many reviewers if they could just TRY to set aside their bias for or against certain games and simply evaluate the quality of the game (how it runs, how it controls, any graphical hiccups, etc). If I were in their shoes, I'd be more than happy to do it as I just described because I'd rather gamers read my reviews and come away with important info about a certain title, than go troll said game site's forum about how wrong I am for hating it.
