Agreed on the sniper overuse. I love playing as recon class on occasion (Atacama desert anyone :)), and don't have punkbuster so don't rank and get the shiny toys. But I play fairly agressively, supporting team mates, and don't camp, nor hide in obvious places. And yes, I can actually hit stuff... If I get counter-sniped the number of times the guy stays in the same place after he's shot and I go back and snipe him from a different angle... Shheeesh man this is my first time playing an FPS online but I have common sense already...

Otherwise, yeah, playing rush on that snowy map with the dodgy spawn (forgot the name for the moment, you come in on parachute and all the opposing team needs to do is camp half competently around the choke points at the bottom of the hill)- and half your team is sitting on top of a hill sniping, most of them without any skills to even hit long range.

Grrr. :D

Some people don't seem to realise the objectives actually mean things.

Tank whores is another.

Poor helicopter pilots who jump in thinking 'this looks like fun' don't know how to fly and kill a couple of members of the team crashing within 50m of the pad.

Squads don't seem to count for anything but hey.

To be honest, BC is a really good game, it's the human flaws (and we all have them ;)) we can't do anything about, for the most part.

Conquest is my favourite, agreed on prev. points.

/rant /''constructive criticism'' ;)
Hi! I noticed you were new! Here's a guide I wrote for some aspects of the site [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.215956-Someone-just-called-me-a-dumbass-How-not-to-fly-into-a-rage-over-every-internet-argument] although there are better ones in the off topic section.

You seem like a nice person, especially since this is your first post, so I would recommend you join some user groups, like this one, which I started. We're a little weird, but make lots of jokes. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Aardvarks-Anonymous]

I would also advise getting an avatar, which if you want a moving one has to be exactly 75 by 75. I think. Here is a good place for them, but I think you have to ask. Not sure how it works. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Avatar-Store-New-and-Second-Hand]

And finally, if you want to respond to someone, make sure to use the quote function on the bottom right of their post, that way they're informed of your reply.

Have fun!

When the pilots of the helicopters jump out and leaving you free falling not knowing whats going on until that fraction of a second before you hit the floor.

Also those really annoying people who can shoot you with snipers without aiming!

BFBC2 is the perfect game bwahahaha!!!!

OT: I hated the loss of character from the first game, it seemed to be trying to be a MW2 clone :(

I also hate it when there's six different snipers hiding, calling down mortar strikes on the spawn points. No real point in playing that map anymore.

I hate snipers :) It's a shame because I'm actually good at it, and still fuck up the objective but their's always far too many already for me to think it's fair on my team.
The problem seems to be that they've migrated from COD with the mentality that K:D is more important than getting the win.

I believe Africa Harbour is the map you're thinking of, unless it's the other snowy night-time one whose name I can't remember (I hate that map)

Oh and welcome to the Escapist

Nothing's more disappointing than loading your squad into a helicopter, manning the guns, and getting ready to wreak havoc with your flying, heavily armed spawn point, when the pilot suddenly remembers he flunked flight school and jumps out without warning. If you can't pilot a damn chopper, don't get in one.

I also hate people who think tanks are mobile artillery pieces, and just sit back shooting tank shells from afar, hoping to hit something.
agreed on both parts

although to the second thing i've actually hit and killed someone doing that but then again i was actually aiming where they were!

i love BC2 its way better then CoD and the only errors are the some of the players choose to be stupid which i've come to expect at this point

I like using armour so i suport my team with direct fire when i'm in the tank but when i ask into my tank does anyone need firepower? or get them to call out targets because when i'm engaging one target it's hard to focus on whats driving around behind you without getting destroyed by the first. Or when they sprint out i front of you as your cruising along and you swerve(in a tank it's interesting) or brake to avoid hitting them and they get pissy. i had my entire team fall back from me as we mad a push because they saw some guy with a rocket/missle launcher and didn't want to get killed when my tank went poof. Instead of killing him.

I also hate it when some moron refuses to move his tank when fighting. Being static makes you a easier target. Move to fight! jeez

Glitches glitches and MORE GLITCHES!!!! A guy should not be able to unload machinegun fire into my midsection between the time the knife animation starts and fails-to-end. If I shoot you in the face you FALL DAMN YOU!

Still fun though. I like blowin' shit up. Good stress reliever between the shitty knife animations.

I got taken out by a guy who had the same load out I did, but they took me out with three bullets where it would normally take half a clip for me to take someone else out, I don't know if it's lag or the damn leveling system that war games are in love with recently but it pisses me off.

Also noob servers, in my opinion your not a noob if you're above "level" 10.

Actually what I hate the most is that stupid AI that won't allow your character to walk up onto anything that is more than an inch in height. I constantly have to jump to get over fallen lamp post, up stairs, or over a blade of grass...

The same bad programming won't allow you to walk through bushes or small tree branches, or over tree roots...

*ugh* I don't know how many times I've been killed while "stuck" in some "crack", or pinned down by a tree branch.

Verbal "tap out."

Why, why, why is the knife attack so damn slow!? I know COD is way too fast, but come on... how many knife kills have you missed cause it's so f*ckin' slow?

The maps feel kinda claustrophobic. And the action feels a little over the top... but, well, it's a game.

I actually got fed up with all the glitches two weeks after release and called it a money-wasted. I'll try again now.

EDIT: My post got messed up a little at first, lol.

The M60, really. That's my big complaint. It really is a much more balanced game than MW2, though. Shame more people don't use their mics.

mostly I consider BBC2 to be the ideal multiplayer experience, but there are a few minor gripes I have: The Apache gunships are over-powered, simply as they are far too maneuverable. A real Apache cannot fly 250 MPH sideways while bobbing up and down, it would likely tear the aircraft to shreds or flip it out of control. This would be less of a problem if there were some real AA abilities, as the AA guns are slightly less useful than farting at it.

The overabundance of snipers is also an issue, though it is really more the players fault than anything else.

team size should have been bigger, 16 would have been ideal
The ability to communicate with everyone in your current vehicle would be nice, and you should be able to communicate with those people currently standing near you (even enemies)
A pre and post game lobbey would be nice
And finally, moar Blackhawks!

Balance isn't very good. I'm not comparing to MW2 here, so don't bother with "Well it's better than MW2s, go back to your quickscoping". The game seems to be balanced by simply making most of the guns feel very similar. I don't think that Stopping Power and Juggernaut should be in COD, but they definetely shouldn't be in BC2. They certainly shouldn't be something you don't unlock quickly.

I don't find the classes greatly balanced. The soldier in particular. The attachments aren't great, and every other class can do more useful stuff. They aren't any better for combat, as far as I can see, and the things they get aren't as good as the other classes. Only useful if you're playing with a squad that actually works together.

That brings me on to my next point. It's a team game. People don't work together well a lot of the time, unless you play with people you know.

Vechiles are obviously not balanced. Don't really see why they need to be in the game.

There are a couple of other things.

Lack of gun sway seems lazy programming to me. It just gives the guns a lot more range-partciulraly giving the marking making it easier to see far off targets.

I get the impression it would be more fun with more people per game.

The gravity feature. People seem to hype it up quite a lot. Indeed, it is pretty cool. However, the claims that it stops quickscoping etc, are just foolish. It is a larger game than COD, and at short ranges, gravity doesn't make much difference. Gravity doens't stop quickscoping, because the range people do it at, is a lot smaller than the kind of distance you need to take gravity into account. You don't see it often, but I think this is more due to the lack of killcam, so you notice less, and because the game is more tactical, and objective based.

And this is the best thing about it. It's objective based. This means that really, the issues are less frustrating than on COD. I don't think it's better balanced. However, because it's not really focused on how you personally are doing, the issues are less irritating. If it was a solo game, I think it would be far more frustrating, really.
