Poll: Thoughts on Sweden

It depends, I don't like the "fjortisar" of sweden, but many people are alright

Hm... Do I like myself? Yes. Sweden is awesome, and I love living here. The people are generally nice, and the nature is beautiful (not that I ever see it, I prefer the city, which is pretty awesome too).

Now, now, I go to a so called snobschool too.
And we have the hardest to get grades in the town too, apparently.
And I have a fucking MVG in English!

Well I'm going the IB-program, where everything IS IN ENGLISH! Math, Physics, Biologi, History, everything except Swedish (duh) and third language (because we share those lessons with everyone else in the school)

It's my home country. Our winter lasts from November to April, and our movies generally suck. Other than that, there ain't much to complain about, could be a lot worse.

edit: I also get the picture that Swedes (and Scandinavians in general) are much better at English than the rest of Europe. Courtesy of not dubbing movies and/or games.

Dunno about Hammerfall, but SA is definitely Finnish.

But you're right, Sweden has possibly the best metal in the world.

Opeth, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth, Ensiferum... They are all made of awesome.

I am from Sweden, my family is from Sweden, all my friends are from Sweden, my girfriend is from Sweden (with German backround though). And I like all of them.
So I must say I like people from Sweden.

Sweden is cool they are the home of truly awesome metal bands!

Plus I hear that the Swedish military is properly funded so they have a military with better equipment than the USA. Shame you don't see much Swedish equipment around, the Gripen and stealth boats.

Feels a bit unecessary since we've never been in a real war

I was born there, so I'm pretty biased towards it. Personally, the happiest time of my life was spent in Sweden. Stockholm is beautiful, the public transport is excellent, the government actually takes care of its people, the parks and lakes are a fantastic place to spend your time, and they take in more refugees than any other country in the world.

It's not the freest country on Earth, though. I mean, you have free speech, and you're not exactly banned or prohibited from doing anything, but, for example, the government believes motorcycles aren't safe, so they make it really expensive for anybody to buy a motorcycle. You can still get one if you really want it, but they've just discouraged you from buying it.

I was in a project group with a bunch of Swedes. Arrogant SOBs if you ask me. That and the curse of Ikea.
