Chevy Bowtie, hands down.

Oh... you meant the clothing, silly me. I'm for a good double windsor tie.

I'd go for Ties. Easier to tie, and cooler too. Especially my red 8-bit one.

Since it's Christmas time I wear my Christmas Tie to work. I don't care what people say. It's festive.

Tie. Also, if it's not tied in a windsor [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windsor_knot], you are no true man.

ties are saying that you want to look nice but not overdress, while bowties say i'm so rich i am above your meer ties. (Yes a tie and a bowtie are communicating). But in all seriousness bowties are pretty awesome looking (they seem classier).

People actually wear fucking bowties IRL? They look hokey as fuck.

Tie wins, hands down.

Light beer at Christmas! I'm pretty sure thats a mortal sin!

OT: If I had to choose I would say tie, a very skinny tie.

Tie. Bowties should have gone out of style many years ago.
This.

Unless of course we're talking about those wicked awesome clown bowties that are huge and have small motors to spin them in circles.

For the anachronistic sense of style and presence, the bowtie, of course. It suits my attained style of a coat and hat. A leather ivy cap or a classy derby, a knee-length longcoat, and a bowtie. That's my style of choice.

Tie if I'm feeling professional.
Bowtie if I'm feeling Bond.
Oversized polka-dot bowtie if I'm feeling Bill Nye.

Tie. Why are we even discussing this?

Bowties are to be worn only with two outfits:
- Black bowties with dinner jackets (that's a tuxedo for all you Americans)
- White bowties with tails

And in either case, they should be hand-tied. Pre-tied clip-ons look dreadful.

I have worn a tie for the past 5 years in high school, also I never see anyone wearing a bow tie anymore.

So tie is a clear winner for me.
