...that is the tired formatting of the question.

Now, let me start off by saying that I am, generally speaking, a very tidy individual. I maintain all of my electronics, never leave anything lying on the floor, etc. However, when it comes to the bed, things are a little different. For a long time, I did make the bed, every morning, without fail. It was only recently that I realized I was going about things all wrong. In making the bed at the start of everyday, it occurred to me that I was making my room feel unnecessarily sterile and uncomfortable.

And so, I now leave my bed unmade. That is not to say that I leave it in a state of chaos, unstructured and unloved. On the contrary, there is still some semblance of order. Nonetheless, the job necessarily remains unfinished. As a result, my room is cozier and more welcoming than it has ever been, and I wouldn't have it any other way ;D

So, do you make the bed or not? Why?

...I talked to Philosoraptor, this is a perfectly valid moral quandary <__<

I don't make the bed, I feel I'll just be getting in it later anyways.

do you live down south or any other place where bed bugs are an issue? there is some evidence that an unmade bed creates a less hospitable environment for bed bugs.

ahh, oh well. although, if the media fear-mongering and sensationalism is to be believed, bed bugs are becoming an epidemic all across the nation, even in colder, dryer climates. so really, you could consider it your civic duty not to make your bed.

Nope. Because then all the crap on my bed just ends up on the floor, and then when I clear the floor, it ends up on my bed again. You can't make your bed when it's got crap in it, can you?

No, I'm pretty sure it's against the law.

Heres the thing. I need to have my bed up against the wall in a corner to help me feel secure. This makes making the bed a royal pain because you have to manually shove the blankets down the side. So I just leave it unless my mom makes me (only if there is company that will see my room).

I dont see any reasons WHY I should do it, so I just dont. I mean, I'll be getting into to the bed again later anyway... No point spending time to make it tidy when it's going to be untidy again at night.

Besides, it takes more time to get into the bed if it is made!

Pack up your stuff and go live in the woods, that's what I think.

Yeah it does. And then, since you haven't been sitting in it all day, it's like prying open the doors of a mysterious freezer <__<
