I smooth out the covers so it looks tidy, but I don't make the bed. It's rather pointless because at some point later on in the day, I usually end up back in bed because it is cold outside, and with student housing there are two types of temperature in my room. Cold, or bloody hot. So I end up in bed quite a lot, working and watching DVD's :D

I sleep in the floor, so I picked the Troll option. Seemed the best fit. Not really a bed to be made.

I don't recall seeing the OP around before, but I like them ^_^ I've never bothered making the bed. What am I, the Queen?

do you live down south or any other place where bed bugs are an issue? there is some evidence that an unmade bed creates a less hospitable environment for bed bugs.

You shouldn't make the bed. Really. At least not right after you've got up from there, and who waits for a couple hours before making the bed?

A doctor specialized in allergies told me this, and when you think of it, it's actually quite simple: You leave a bit of moisture and bacteria to the sheets when you sleep there. Then you seal it. Makes for a great breeding ground for the tiniest bugs, bacteria and whatnot. Leaving the bed with more like an exploded look, the bed can dry and get some air.

I do what this guy does!

I got so tired of this when I was in the military service. We did it a bit differently though, and the day cover had this checkers-type (or whatever you call it) pattern on it for increased difficulty. Good times.

I don't make the bed, but I do smooth the covers out. So it looks tidyish, but not pristine. I figure, the only people who are going to see it are me and people who really shouldn't care whether it's made, so I'll save myself a few minutes each day (they add up) and leave it alone.
...someone should do that math on that XD
1 minute a day x 365 days is 6 hours a year.
Hmm...one minute. With what level of confidence do you figure that? <__<

I don't make my bed.
I have a limited number of heartbeats in this existence, and I will be damned if I waste them doing something I don't want to!

But in all seriousness, what's the point besides satisfying society and/or mild OCD?

I only do it if it's really needed. It's not that annoying, I'm just very busy in the morning and usually go to my bed as soon as I get home.

Does it matter? No one comes into my room, and I don't like the way my bed looks when it's all made up nicely. Besides, what's the point when I'm just going to mess it up again? It's such a hassle, getting into a bed that's been made.

I almost never make my bed, because I end up un-tucking everything when I climb in anyway. I like my feet sticking out and my blankets piled around me. My husband prefers the same.
The only time I make my bed is if someone is coming over to visit any they'll be coming into my room.
