Wrestling, the real type. I saw a guy get his back broke, right in front of me while I was at a tournament. When was the last time you saw something like that happen?

All the things you have listed are games, not sports.

OT: Wrestling. Ever been running and hit "the wall"? Yeah, when you wrestle you hit that wall in the first minute or so of a match.

Bobby Orr never wore a helmet

Orr, along with many other greats from the time before helmets, were very lucky to never suffer an extremely serious incident like that, but lets be fair and smart here: A fast travling solid object to the head does not result in good things.

Heres me hoping you were a fan BC (before Crosby). I hate fair-weather fans.

But yes, go Pens. Too bad the Caps beat them today. Its not like Ovechkin needs a bigger head.
I am. I was in it for Lemiuex at first (i'm sure I butchered that name). besides, my favorite player is Orpik. I was born near Pittsburgh, so I'm a Pittsburgh fan (mostly). I've been into hockey since... oh... since I was eight or so. And I'm 18 now.

And yeah, too bad abut that. Though OVi is havinga sucky season, proving that Ovi talkers need a helping of shut the hell up
Good. I got into the Pens around '97 or so I think it was. Jaromir Jagr was, and still is, my favorite player, I've just kept my Penguin pride. My parents hate it, because we're Cleveland fans. So they see gold and black and immediately think Steelers.
The Penguins had their dark period. I give you (grudingly) respect for sticking with your team through the thick and thin. I'm Columbus fan myself and believe me, I know how hard it can be to watch your team some nights...

EDIT: Sorry for the double post.

I'm not gonna lie, I had my doubts that Colombus had fans. I have a great deal of respect for you.

Oh man, I feel for you. I have a hard time watching the Jackets. I don't like watching my team lose...

Orr was the greatest! You know he used to give away his wardrobes to charity? He was so much about charity and hated talking about it like he was a hero. A true role model on and off the ice.

Professional Wrestling like the WWE. Honestly, how are you suppose to cause a giant cut to a persons forehead with trying to hurt them as much as possible?

Granted though some people dont seem to think its a support so I'm gonna go with Rugby because of that episode of Friends :p

I see... eah, its too bad I said things where the direct intent is to hurt the person dont count.

besides, ever play hockey? Hitting the wall can happen on your first north to south or east to west. So that could be seconds.

Rugby, I once heard it described as "a bunch of shaved apes stomping on each other to death in a feild." and its like American football but with less rules and pads.

he still is heavily involved with charity. compared to self-absorbed athletes of today (i'm looking at you Kobe and LeBron)
also i meet him once! OK, i was like 1 1/2 and don't remember it but i have an autographed framed photo. It say "to my pal" so cool!

Glad to hear. and.. well.. its not that Crosby's not a good player. I know my uncle got me his winter classic jersey (from this year), but I got into the Pens late, though I was into hockey itself at age 4, since thats when I started playing. I just never cared much for the Pro level, but I got into it 2000, and Lemiuex was just getting back and being awesome again.

That is so cool! Even as a Devils fan that seems like the greatest thing ever. I want to meet Patrik Elias someday. He's my favorite. I also really want to meet Martin Brodeur, because he's the best.

I'd say in its purest form, Rugby. The game's essentially built around trying to destroy the other team (simplifying it a bit, but it's incredibly physical.)
With Hockey, it's not meant to be played with that much physical contact. Just take a look at the difference between the NHL and IIHF or Olympics hockey games: the latter are far more tame. This is just because of the way the NHL game is influenced by appealing to fans of the sport.

But if it was straight out physical exertion, I'd have to go with tennis. You just have to be insane to play like those really good tennis players.

Badminton, Murderball, Extreme Four-square Rugby or hockey. I voted rugby only because they wear less equipment than hockey players from what I know.

Hurling or Aussie Rules Football.

Hurling has sticks/clubs, a hard ball, and hard men all clashing together with as of 2010 a helmet for protection. There was no protection used for the previous 3000 or so years. Hell, Cúchulainn and Fionn Mac Cumhail played hurling.

Aussie Rules is a mix of rugby and gaelic football. Mouthguards are sometimes worn, sometimes.
