As far as I'm concerned, people are untrustworthy until proven otherwise, but that doesn't mean that I won't give them a chance. Trust has to be earned, but I consider myself a good judge of character.

And now, I'll do something a bit diffucult... being blunt.

Whatever happened to you, get over it. My assumption (sorry if I'm wrong) is that it has something to do with a girl or boy you like. Well guess what? Shit happens. It happens to everyone. And I can absolutely, positively tell you that regardless of whether you learn to trust people or not, whatever happened to you will not be the toughest thing you'll face in your life. But if you do trust people, and you have friends by your side during the tougher times, it is a LOT easier. Trust me on this (and I realize the irony with me saying that, but seriously, it's true).

Sorry if it's harsh and sorry if my assumption is wrong, but I just seriously hate it when I see people saying "no going back". Life isn't that black and white. There is ALWAYS a way to go back. ALWAYS. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about.

I sincerely hope you rethink things, and wish you the best of luck with whatever life you make for yourself.
Respect to you sir, I hate whiney stuff like this.

You're not the first person to have been let down, betrayed or whatever else and it certainly will not be the last time either.
Then you get the 'Tough, dark and broody' posts like this on an internet forum where they claim they can handle all of lifes worries.

Looking good from over here buddy.
Seriously, just get over it and get on with life too short to really give a crap about things so much.

Wait, I'm confused. I'm whiney, but "tough, dark, and broody"?

I'm not any of those o_O I just take everything and bear through it. Doesn't mean I think I can handle every single thing out there...

Refer to the first line for your involvement in the post.

The rest is aimed at the OP or whoever else takes it, wants it, whatever really.
I was in no way aiming the majority of that at you.

OK, but I still don't get it... how is it whiney?

I used to trust most people. Then I realized that half the people you meet are below average.

Plus society has continually let me down. So I just decided "fuck it" and trust a select few.

I don't trust game companies (Halo 3 will be the last in the series) (Half-Life 2: Episode three is coming out soon) (We are, despite what anyone might say, hard at work on Duke Nukem Forever).

Well, Bungie's exact words were "last in the trilogy", but I still agree :p

Your post wasn't whiney either...
Alright, still a bit confused as to what you meant, but whatever. Not really important.

I usually trust everyone I meet right off the bat and then if they mess that up somehow...I usually still trust them. Like to believe they will understand they screwed up and not do it again.

Is it really this hard to give you props on a well written post (by yourself, to avoid further confusion)about how people should just get over things?

Honestly, I'm a bit tired, so I think I may just be massively misunderstanding what you said. I need sleep :p thanks for the props, then.

I trust most people... kinda. I tend to think the best of people until proven otherwise, then I lose respect for them (when proven otherwise). I really only trust a very small number of people.

The old saying is as true today as the day it was created. A friend that you can trust, is worth their weight in gold.
