Just a random question because sometimes I feel like doing it:

How would you react if you were walking on the sidewalk, someone pulled over/parked their car and got out just to talk to you? Specifically, flirt/ask you out? Gender has nothing to do with it, nor appearance. Just the act, does that disturb you?

Yeah I would say that if that happened to me I would be rather baffled unless I personally knew the person.

When I think of starting a conversation\flirting with someone there usually has to be something to talk about, a common ground or experience to start talking about. Stopping a car to talk to someone just seems like it is far too awkward to start up a decent conversation.

Maybe try crashing the car into the nearest tree\light post? That would start up a conversation pretty fast, and one that the person would not forget any time soon.

I'd be incredible suspicious, not cheeped out, just suspicious.
My first thought would be "some darn kids doing some darn dare again". And my opinion would just change from there depending on how things played out/

I would be kinda creeped out if I didn't know the person.

Especially if the person knew me, but the reverse wasn't true.

Mostly because I can't even imagine a scenario in which this would play out for me.

Listen to you all. Now you know how pretty much every NPC in every game ever feels, learn this feeling well, and become a better person for it.

Yeah...I would be very creeped out by that, especially since my first instinct around new people is to be kinda cold.

It is suspicious , i probably wouldn't run for my life , but i'm definately not going to follow them . If the girl is to my liking i would prbably exchange emails or something ( not phone or address) and if she wanted to go out i'm definately finding a public place in the day with plenty of witnesses , but i'd still go . How else are you suppose to find people to date?

It would be infinitel less creepy if they weren't in a car to begin with . Bike ,fine . Walking , fine . Motocycle , okay . Car , scary .

I already get creeped out if someone pulls up to ask for directions.

However, if it's Alison Brie, I might need to reconsider.

Talk, but be ready to start strangling them at a moment's warning. If they just met me, they must have decided to talk to me because of my looks. Unlikely, because whether or not you believe I'm as hideous as I say I am, I definately ain't the best looking guy they could ask. Meaning, they probably want something else out of me.

I would be flattered if it was a really handsome guy.

It all depends on the impression the person gives off.
If it were a creepy guy, I would be creeped. If it were a good looking guy with a lot of confidnese and real lick moves, i would be totally flattered.

Also, it depends on the recieving end too.
If the person being talked to is someone that is self confident and feels like they deserve to have people want to come and talk to them, them they are more receptive. But people who are not used to being approached like that would probably get scared.

It has to work on both ends.

From watching Criminal Minds, I could only conclude thay they intended to kill me in an elaborate and painful way.

Seriously though, I would want to get out of that situation as quickly as I could.

I wouldn't particularly mind, since nothing like that really creeps me out. If it was a guy I'd be a hell of a lot more cautious, but a girl about my age? Not even slightly. Although if I didn't find them attractive, it would just be really awkward.

I put "Depends" because I know that how the person who gets out the car phrases the next few sentences will be the judge of whether it's creepy or "cute".

I answered bacon, but it really just depends. Now, as to whether I accept or not...I'm leaving you in the dark on that one.

Beyond creepy. That's just not something that it's okay to do. I'm baffled that there are people who would be comfortable with this. At worst it would be frightening and at best it would just be awkward.

If they're hot, nope.
If not, well, hey, it's time to make a new friend.
I'm way too trusting; it's probably going to get me killed one day.

I tried to imagine circumstances where it wouldn't be creepy, but it came down to I'd either have to know the person or they'd have to be a girl my age for me not to palm my keys. Even then, if I thought about it, a girl my age would probably rather find a more approachable-looking person to ask for directions.

Oh wait, I didn't realise they had delicious bacon just for me. No longer creepy at all and I wouldn't even consider stabbing them unless they had more bacon than they were letting on.

I would probably just assume they were going to kidnap and murder me, regardless of attractiveness. I'm not even that comfortable with people calling me over to their car to ask for directions. Too many a fantasy of being dragged through said car window and driven to my doom.

Yes. And if I was a girl I would find it threatening as hell and immediately assume it was harassment at best and a potential stalker/rapist at worst.

Obviously the attitude/appearance of the person in question makes a big difference (less "are they hot?" and more "are they intimidating, insistent or aggressive?") but I'd instantly assume the worst.
