I'd say that there's probably about a 50/50 chance of it outselling Modern Warfare 2 on the 360. Halo has the fanbase but Modern Warfare has proved to be an almost unstoppable juggernaut, so it could go either way.

I find it rather amusing that a game that is only appearing on one system has outsold a game that is on 3.

When one's ego becomes inflated and believes his gaming preferences are better than others because he chooses to not support the "evil companies", looks down at those that do and considers them to be "blind". It happens to all of us unfortunately...

Well... yes.

Halo beats everything on the 360 in terms of units sold. Halo 3 was, and I'm pretty sure still is, the best selling 360 game.

However if we factor in multiple consoles, other games easily beat it.

Maybe. But I will not guess or speculate, instead I shall stand back and watch and see. Personally, it does not bother me if Halo: Reach surpasses Modern Warfare 2, because the more Video Games are exposed to a larger crowd, a large number of preorderes will become the norm. Take this for an example: If Modern Warfare 2 encouraged a few thousand new people to play video games because of their marketing, then those players will have become gamers now. Now that they're gamers, they will watch for newer games and preorder as well.

Once Halo: Reach launches and gathers a lot of newer comers as well, then we'll possibly expect more people to be preordering for the next big game. More you advertise, more people join, and the more video games as an industry grow. So if I was making a game and some big title was coming out, I would actually be happy because I know more people will become gamers (except if the title launches near my launch date, then I'd be worried. Though that's the cutthroat of business there).

All in all, I'm going to sit back an observe.

I've always enjoyed the Halo series, more so for the story mode as opposed to the multiplayer. All I know is that I traded in my copy of MW2 a long time ago, and I've been pretty excited about Reach since the Beta.

Sure, it could beat it. Everyone loves a new Halo game.

sadly bad company 2 took te job and killed it, since mr. halo got a bit giddy at the beta party. kindly BC2 left some more MW2 on the 360 for mr. halo to finish off

Even more sadly, when Bad Company 2 was about to deliver its final blow it tripped and its frostbite engine threw dust in its eyes and it got attacked by medal of honor eating out its engine.

On the 360, yes. It's essentially the last Halo game, Halo has always been the main xbox game series, and it's looking great so far, so yeah, it's going to do pretty damn well.

However, when I say that gamer(s) as in, lots of them combined tend to be idiots, I am referring to situations where a totally unbalanced, broken, glitchy piece of shit like CoD MW 2 is the top-selling game of all time, yet truly good and different games like Alan Wake and Brutal Legend suffer with weak sales.

I pre-ordered Reach from Game the first chance i got, the place was packed with people pre-ordering it as well.

I didn't see that many with MW2 so yes, Reach is going to overtake MW2 on Xbox

MW2 was the clearly better game. If sales numbers, and hundreds of professional game reviews don't prove that than maybe the average time playing each game per person would convince you. Seriously google it.

you probably read that alot more seriously than i meant it to be, but my brothers REFUSE to touch any other games that dont have the words "modern" or "warfare" in it, i tried to show them team fortress 2, left 4 dead, kotor, oblivion, jedi academy, gears of war (1 and 2), and hell even some wii games, but they just absolutely refuse to play anything else and say its all garbage and doesn't take half as much skill to play any of those games as it does mw2, and they basically say anything i play is complete garbage whenever they walk by, so it does irk me a bit that they are THAT blinded due to mw2..just being mw2.

i am usually perfectly open to people opinions and whatnot, just saying i live with this shit every day now and its really pushin my limits havin that happen 10 times a day
