Urrrgh, I dunno. There's no real reason not to, but I always react badly to injections.

Stiil, it can't be as bad as the cervical cancer one, not only did it hurt like hell for a week, I went blind, deaf and sick for ten minutes after. Then I was high as a kite for the rest of the day. You know the best bit? I have to have TWO more D:

If it mutates, the vaccine doesn't cover it. That's why the common cold is still around; it just keeps forming new strains.
If it mutates then this vaccine will provide SOME protection. Which is a heck of a lot more than you'll have without it. Or would you prefer that we wait til it mutates and then let thousands die as we manufacture, test and distribute a vaccine?
A vaccine is used to make the body produce antibodies, an antibody is specific to the molecule it was made to destroy. They do this by usually stopping the molecule from attaching to cells. If this swine flu mutates then the antibodies will no longer inhibit it properly. Antibodies don't provide some protection, its either protection or no protection.
Well it's a good thing vaccines contain more than one molecule isn't it? You get either attenuated viruses or just the coat proteins. Which will have MANY antigens. So if the virus mutates, yes, some of those will change. Others will not. So you will have SOME protection.

Not taking it, I have a horrible phobia of needles, and I don't see the point because swine flu's main victims are people with an underlying health problem which is the same as the common cold except the cold kills more people.

I don't get sick too often, and even if I do get sick, I'll get to take off from work and play Uncharted 2. So no, I'm not going to get any live cultures injected into my body. Thanks for the offer though.

I already got it not because I'm afraid of H1N1, but I just can't afford to get sick right now.

Well generally vaccines will use only the coat protein as that has a 0% chance of making the patient sick. I wasn't aware that they mixed the vaccines

My dad got swine flu, got better, and I didn't get sick. Why the hell should I take a vaccine? My natural resistance is badass.

It's being offered to certain groups of people first mainly older people, people with underlying health problems, pregnant women and young children or something like that

It has fromaldihide and nickle in it. I don't want to inject myself with something that can kill me.

I'm allergic. Problem solved. I'd rather die of swine flu than the anaphyactic shock I'd go into by taking the vaccine. And since I've never had the flu, I'm guessing my immune system can handle it if I do get it.

Have you seen what they put in that damn thing? Mercury for Christ's sake! I'm defiantly not injecting myself with poison... and a bunch of other stuff. I'll take my chances with the so called "epidemic".

Hell no.

There is no reason that any healthy person between the ages of 14 and 60 needs this vaccine. Swine Flu is NOT deadly unless you are very young, very old, or have a significantly weakened immune system. The vaccine, however, may kill you or otherwise fuck you up.

Read up on this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_swine_flu_outbreak

Seriously, why WOULDN'T you get vaccinated!? It's just stupid. You can get the virus, and give it to others, helping it spread very effectively. You know vaccines are why smallpox is gone right....right? Seriously, they are a good thing, you should be fucking forced to get them.
Swine Flu won't kill you. Who knows what the fuck the vaccine could do to you. Particularly since they're rushing it to the public with the absolute minimum of research and testing because everyone's so fucking panicky about it.

It's not going to be offered for free in the US, I think the places that have it are charging upwards of $50 for it.

Ofcourse i'm going to get it, vaccines are created for a reason. Oh and all new drugs including vaccines have to go through WHO, which involves lab tests, then animal tests and then human tests. So its fairly safe unless you're unfortunate to have an allergive reaction to one of the componments. Also i have asthma, can you imagine what the flu would do when a cold brings a full blown asthma attack
That's news to me, I guess we can just do away with the individual government run programs that test and license drugs then (btw, the WHO doesn't have any say what drugs are available in and individual nation, that's why some drugs are considered safe and legal in some nations but not in others.)

Being military I doubt I'll be given a choice, however I wouldn't take it if I had the option. I already got the manditory regular flu vaccine.
