Poll: Vanille?

I know this is kind of late, but I get the feeling i'm the only person who likes Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII. So, i have decided to turn to you, the internet, for your opinions.

I like her and Sazh.

Sazh is my favorite, though.

Hope can die in a fire. Snow can go with him...

Lighting & Fang win the "indifference" award.

Hmm, I don't think she's a bad character, I'm just not really a fan of the archetype(For reference I didn't like Yuffie or Selphie either).

She was beyond crazy, and what she said or did made little to no sense to me. I didn't like her much, but I could understand why someone would.

She took the prancing ditz act to a new mind-bending level.

I don't really know what to make of her.

I liked Fang a lot. The only reason that I didn't completely despise Vanille was because she made Fang happy.

But no, I've never liked the Final Fantasy "batshit wacky teenage girl" archetype. Yuffie and Selphie were both just begging to be stabbed and left on the side of a road to rot somewhere. I'd imagine little miss french vanilla is much the same.

I'm rather happy with the cast of XIII. Except for Snow and Hope. They can both die in a fire.

I liked her as a character except for one sound byte. I think it was the one for casting Death. The only sound in the whole world other than the sound of Death actually impacting!

I'm only 20 hours in, but all of the characters have grown on me. Vanille is my favourite, as her back story and how she acts goes really well together. Snow I am on the fence with, as he is to me the most ''shallow'', his feelings don't go deep and are according to the situation he is in at the time, rather than to the situation he comes from. Or something, I never took psychology, and society class I almost failed

Vanille is pretty much the main character of XIII. Her optimism (dense yes) at least provided a warm and well recieved break from the depressing teammates. (Hope crying, Snow is a HERO, lightning being quiet, Sazh is cool though, and Fang being Fang. XD

Well, I see it has already been said: lousy archetype. It's the kind of character you're only going to like if you're Japanese (or really into Japanese character development). But yeah, she's an irritating and whiny little teenager who has to much on an insincere 'happy happy joy joy' thing going on.

But then again, I didn't like anything about FF XIII (well, maybe the graphics...)

I don't mind her, I lean more towards like though because she's kind of cute, but I feel like she's not really as giggly as she makes herself out to be. I haven't finished XIII yet and I do intend to finish when I find the time so please don't quote me and spoil anything for me.

I certainly like her a lot more than Rikku from FFX. Goddamn was she annoying.

That said, she wasn't one of my favorite characters, that goes to Lightning and Sazh.

I have to say, I liked all the main characters from FFXIII, with the exception of Hope, whom I absolutely despise (though i will admit, Snow and Lightning had their moments). As for Vanille, i guess I can see why some people would hate her. In the end, the only reason i swapped her out for Hope end-game was because buffs were more effective than debuffs at the time, and Hope was simply better at them than Vanille (and Fang had enough debuffs to cover anyway if necessary).

Vanille's okay, I don't like or hate her.

But I hated Snow with a passion. His response to everything was saying "HEROES DON'T NEED PLANS!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!" WTF!? You think you can just run in there and everything will be alright? Don't you remember what happened LAST TIME, you FRIGGIN MORON!?

No, I didn't like her. Apart from disliking her accent(I like the Australian one, but her seemed a bit off) I thought she was insane. Didn't like any character in FFXIII though. Fang was ok, but the dialect...!
