Indeed, emphasizing "long term" enjoyment does not mean that short term enjoyment is any less important. If anything it is more important.

Short term enjoyment is what attracts people to this site. Without it we would not be the site we are now.

The EUP wishes to change that.

Each of the candidates are promising things we should be doing anyway and don't need a leader to do. I'm backing Furby though, as I have to support my children.

The EUP, while led by two very strong, well known, and influential Escapists; is just not equipped to lead the Escapist as a whole.

Where are their supporters? What are their exact policies and plans? When can we expect to see them put in place? What promises have they acted upon already?

As it stands, their only political policy has been to slander and shamelessly belittle their opponents. We at the I&C have acted on our promises already, we have given you information, we have a team of Escapists dedicated to making our intentions known through the ocean of lies, we have have already begun to help you, the Escapists!

We just need your votes to solidify our place in Escapist politics. Help us make better the Escapist and your experience with the Escapist.

I was a lurker; a man beset by doubts. I was a man whose very dislike of the escapist brought about moments of disgust.

The EUP changed this, that great Furburt has made me realise the true value of the Escapist; the truly intellectual hub that this great forum is.

So I ask you Escapist: Vote for the EUP; vote for the removal of the hostilities that divide this great place.

How? Can you back up this claim?
