Well, I want to be a rogue since the concept is appealing, but when I actually create the character I don't find it enjoyable at all... So I always end up being a mage.

It's usually the warrior class. I play the others on the 2nd/3rd play through if I like the game enough, but I use the "warrior" class as a benchmark for deciding if it's worth it or not.

Mage, hands down. I love magic. And with the proper training and spells I can turn my character into a beautiful killing machine.

Warrior - I like melee a bit and it seems in multiplayer RPGs everyone decides they only want to be a damage dealing class. So to get anywhere I have to be the punching bag

Rouge although I think that name sounds shit.

I play as an assassin or an Archer. Puts more fun into the game for me, approach tactically different ways each attack. Rather than just rush it and hit something with a big hammer untill you win again..

Rogue, always. I just love stealthy, elegant skill-based gameplay. No nuke-a-licious mages, no RAWRMESMASH warriors. I'm a slicin' and dicin' ninja machine baby.

I usually pick mage, or if possible a mage/warrior mix. Spells are fun, and if I can make myself a bit more durable as well that's excellent.

Always warrior on the first playthrough, mage on the second. Sometimes rogue on the third, or instead I might go for an archetypal battlemage character.

Rogue .... what's the point of being able to kill a big bad when you can procure enough money to pay a whole horde of people to do it for you? :D

Rogue - here's why:
1. Warriors are great fighters, but that's about it. Trap? Locked iron door? Out of luck.
2. Mages are great in terms of sheer spectacle, but growing up with AD&D 1E I can't help but think of them as walking corpses prior to 6th level (when they get 3rd level spells - i.e., fireball).
3. Rogues are the utility infielders of role-playing. They can kind-of do anything at least sort-of.

Warmagogue. I try to mix them together, if possible, I love them all, in different ways, and hate being confined to one role.

If there is an option, I will always always go for the Paladin type, so mark me down as a Warrior/Mage mix I guess.

I never play pure warrior, because magic is just so useful. I like casters, even as squishy as they can be.

I wish I could play a Mage, but they're always so underpowered at the start and I can never progress with them. Mages are hella badass and the coolest mid-end game characters, but they're so weak in the beginning it's usually not worth it :S

rouge 'cus I like stealthing around and when I get into fights they attack faster and dodge more which i like. At one poin in DA:O my rouge became a tank due to the fact I speked him so enamys only have a 10% chance of hitting him kinda made worriors redundent.
