Normally I'm right along with you. I turn my phone off and I STFU. I totally love getting into the movie and get annoyed when people talk n Text during the film. Your hear to get away from reality for two hours. What is so damn important that it can't wait. This applies for everything except for a comedy. YOUR SUPPOSE TO LAUGH CUZ ITS SUPPOSE TO BE FUNNY.

You sound like one of those annoying people that have completely ruined cinemas for me, but given that you're hardly the only one, this woman was out of line.
You pretty much have to expect nowadays that if you go to the cinema that there will be loud disruptive people there, and singling anyone out who is not particularly more troublesome than others (you, from your own words) is unfair at least.

So yes, you were a jackass, and yes, she was a *****. If your kind of behaviour troubles her so much she should no longer go to the cinema in the first place.

I think the topic is bias towards one side. It may be presented differently if she were to come on here and get to state her case as well. As the post above me points out, if you are going to state your case you are most likely going to present all of your actions as justified. Watch any court case ever. Due to your bias of not knowing what you did offensive, it is only logical to. Without her side of the arguement, you can't really point the finger one way or the other as an uninvolved person here on escapist. We weren't there, we are only being shown 1 side. (told by one of the offending parties)

I hear you. But unfortunatley in matters like this, it may be impossible for you to. It could be that what you did to offend her was something that slipped your mind due to your own tolerance for it. A "metal retard" would be awesome. Brings a whole new meaning to "retard strength".

Of course it could refer to someone who is fried and listens to alot of heavy metal. Or even someone who knows absolutley nothing about different metals like iron and steel. But a retard made out of metal on a rampage, that is a movie I would go watch at midnight.

For laughing out loud when the rest of the theater was laughing, Who's accumulated volume after i stopped was enough to drown out the movie itself.

For clapping along with the theater who was also clapping.

If you yourself say that you were 'relatively quiet through out the movie' I'm sure you annoyed her alot more than you think.That must be it,screw the other people in the theatre,if the one right next to you disturbs you, you'll vent on them.

I have this amazing ability to shut out everything around me that doesn't involve what I am doing, whether it be playing a game or watching a movie, so it doesn't bother me that much. You disregarded what she said about seats, boo'ed a children's trailer because presumably you're edgy and laughed and clapped in the film. Let me clear up this misconception now, you are supposed to laugh in a comedy, you aren't supposed to guffaw and shake the rafters, a quiet chuckle is alright but laughing and clapping like a seal at a zoo is obnoxious.

I did not disregard what she said about the seats, she said that she wasn't holding them for anyone, they were empty and free. And i wasn't shaking the rafters. as I have said, I curbed back my laughing if it did in fact get to loud.

I'm not edgy, I'm annoyed that they keep on bastardizing my child hood for a fast buck and missing the over all point. And i would normally have kept this to myself, but as the whole theater was still talking about what they were going to do after the movie and how much of a whore paris hilton was, I figured my "boo" to a crapy movie would go uncared for. And its not a Guffaw, its a HA HA HA or maybe a HE HE HE, its not some shrill laugh that burns patrons ears. And as for the clapping, clapping for the good guy punching a bad guy, bad. however, i have seen theaters collectively "clapping" at shit since WIll Smith punched an alien and said "welcome to earth". Now if your the only jackass clapping, yeah, that can be annoying, but if its the entire theater... its kind of like Napoleon Dynamite, alone that movie really isn't that funny. but the more people you collect together the funnier it gets.

and the milk was those small one use containers that we had bough THAT day. so no week old smell. and was drank all up when we were done.
