like most other questions asked on these forums we will never know. what i don't get, however, is why every petty nitpick about is worth a thread and a poll. it pains me to read through the thread listings.

moral: don't post threads if you have nothing worth discussing.

I still don't see how it would be a political move. An effective one at least.

I guess Obama just wants to be a guy in red-blue pajamas swinging around Washington DC.

It would be a political move because he's sting that he models after spiderman. And as President he will take up the responsibilty of being president and not take advantage of his power.
Yeah, I still doubt that.

How could it possibly be political? I don't think liking spiderman is going to swing many voters one way or another.

There should be a "this is the kind of question crazy people ask" option on the poll...

It's a satire of the dog thing. I don't really care if it was apolitical move or not

so why make the thread? and why do i keep thinking that this place needs stricter rules as how to post threads?

Who fucking cares that he likes Spider-man? And getting off subject, who the fuck cares that he got a dog?
HEY HEY, this is clearly more important than the current economic crisis and overshadows any other global issues, how can you trust a man who is indifferent to comic book heroes and does not even own a pet? Is that the ideal American president?! IS IT?!!!

Political move for what? I doubt if getting on the good side of spiderman lovers will score him many votes over choosing any other superhero. He has no reason to lie really. I suppose Spiderman could be a more everyman superhero and Mr. Obama wants to stress that to get across that he is an everyman but that is really stretching it to far. I don't see any reason why it would not be true.

I'd like to think it was truthful, only because the sheer number of people who have Spiderman as their favorite. That does increase the chances of him actually liking Spiderman the most (it also increases the chances of him using it for political reasons, but I like to think that even heartless politicians have at least one thing they enjoy other then the tears of children).
