Dinosaurs had their run with nerds. Like Ross from friends I suppose.

I think that dinosaur nerds should be extinct for a reason.

My vote for Alan Cumming.

Why do you people keep voting for the Scottish? Have you met any? They're all right, (though tend to just be like angrier, indecipherable, English people) they're not in the same league as Ninjas, Dinosaurs, and Alan Cumming.

Scots, because I kind of am one (I'm American, but I'm descended from them). That, or Scottish Samurai Dinosaurs.

Why do nerds have to be typified by something we don't shut up about?

I think I'm begining to understand why we have such a bad image (outside of the whole social retardation and intrest in things like WoW or DnD).

On topic, Vikings sees like the best choice because...well, they are simply badass (take that pirate/ninja following!).

- Dinosaurs were destroyed by the hand of God so that he could replace them with rats. Cool as dinosaurs are, when God prefers rats to something, that's a big black mark against you.
Dinosaurs were too awesome, and after 160 million years God knew that nothing else on Earth could exist and be awesome if Dinosaurs were still around.

- It is possible to accurately imitate pirates, ninjas, luchadors, Vikings, and Scots. Without help from John Hammond or Dr. Curt Connors, it is impossible to imitate dinosaurs. I know; I've tried.
Excellent point, all previous typical nerd representatives were easily imitated. It's somewhat difficult to dress up like a Dinosaur and disrupt a social event. HOWEVER, that shouldn't wholly disqualify them as it would still be awesome to have more Dinosaur movies, games, and shows. But I do see your point here.

Then again:

We really need a Dino Riders video game.

Gladiators. Rome is awesome and there has yet to be a good gladiator themed game to date (that I know of).

Because zombies and vampires are popular now, it's the perfect time for the return of another occult favourite

MUMMIES!

Demon-possessed badasses. 'Nuff said.
I think...

NOTICE: Chuck Norris does NOT fit into this. He has to be an actual badass, not some over-hyped normal person.

I will jump off a cliff before I ever acknowledge luchadors as part of "nerd" culture.

Dinosaurs already have their niche (at the very least, sub-niche) in nerd culture, I.E. Jurassic park, Sliders, etc.

Mutants? Awesome.
Samurai? Eh...
Scots? ....Yeah, sure, why not.
Gladiators? Fuck year!
E.E. Cumming? Who?

I think pirates, vampires, ninjas, zombies, and Chuck Norris have had a good run. We need new material. Something fresh, something that hasn't been done to death. Let's revitalize nerd culture with a new thing to obsess about!

Once a winner is elected, we are all required to never shut the fuck up about it, therefore ensuring that dozens of games, movies, and TV shows are made using this new 'thing' as a theme.

Some of the listed members already have a smaller part, but wouldn't you like to see them reach the status of nerd obsession that pirates and ninjas have enjoyed?

EDIT:
My apologies for neglecting Vikings, vote other and explain yourself to have your voice counted!
Alan Cumings for sure. He's scarier than Zombies, Pirates, Monkeys, Ninjas and Chuck Norris combined.

I think it needs to be a combo situation.

Gladiator-Dinosaurs. Think of the movie Gladiator. Now think of the characters as talking dinosaurs. Yeah... Stop masturbating.
