Battle Rifle from Halo 2. Accurate, powerful and doubles as a sniper rifle. Whenever I come across one, it's almost definitely going in my arsenal, even if I have to toss my double machine guns.

In Halo 3 online, I use the Battle Rifle about as frequently as other weapons, but I looked up my personal stats the other day and found out I get killed by the BR far more often than any other weapon. I have to start using it more!

OP: I'm a sucker for a poll. So the fact that this poll is pointless is annoying.

Apparently the Redeemer is badass for alot of people on this thread. I never played the game it was in though.

And OMG The BGF 9000 is one of my favorites, only by the looks of it

Say what you will about my choice, I realize it doesn't have big ass explosions or anything like that but I love it! It's the M1 Garand, particularly from Battlefield 1942.

For a number of reasons, I loved it's semi-automatic fire it fired as quick as you could press the button and did it without even a single reload animation. Also the recoil never seemed to bad to me.

Also it was just the sound of that *PING!* as the cartridge ejected itself out of the rifle. I remember the first time seeing and hearing it; it just seemed so awesome. I then understood why it was so detrimental in World War 2.

The stake gun from Painkiller, especially when you can hit someone from far away enough that the stake catches fire and dismembers them.
