I would if the taste was good.Otherwise I would just ignore it.Or put so much sauce on it that I could hardly taste the meat.

Cannibalism? No. If I were stuck on an island with some people and we were all starving and one of us died then dibs on the liver. I would only allow myself to be eaten or eat human as an act of desperation, unless we are suffering a shortage of meat (cows dying out or something) then I might consider signing up.

It's on my bucket list. Of course, I'll have to travel somewhere where it's legal.

Anyway, yeah, I'd eat people and I'd be fine with people eating my corpse.

A whole new meaning given to "Organ Donor".

I think it is agreed by all parties that this prodigious number of children in the arms, or on the backs, or at the heels of their mothers, and frequently of their fathers, is in the present deplorable state of the kingdom a very great additional grievance; and, therefore, whoever could find out a fair, cheap, and easy method of making these children sound, useful members of the commonwealth, would deserve so well of the public as to have his statue set up for a preserver of the nation.

I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee or a ragout.

Hard to say why it never caught on.

by all biological accounts human should taste very similar to pork, mainly ham. I guess if we lived in a society in which it was allowed I would at least give it a taste.

PS your poll choices hurt my brain.

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way, shape, or form a psychotic child killing cannibal.

I had a conversation with one of my friends about this a few years ago and we had decided if it were legal we would definitely try it. Then I started thinking about meat in general and what age of meat is generally the most tender and most flavorful and I came to the conclusion that, if it were legal, I'd want to take a child from birth keep them from getting wounded or sick or anything that would keep the meat from being in pristine condition. I'd also feed them top quality food and get them all fattened up until they were about 7 or 8, then I'd eat the meat.

My friend thought I was weird but agreed with the logic on it.

DISCLAIMER AGAIN: This was completely hypothetical and in no way truthful of my desires or anything. I am against abduction of children and against cannibalism.

It would probably be expensive. And trust me, human flesh does'nt taste very special, the only remarkable thing is the joy of the chase.

Uhh, I mean it would probably be Okay, I guess...

Start nice accordion music in background for limerick:

It's rather clear that you've watched soilent green,
But of cannibalsim I'd like to keep my teeth clean,
Especially of that most disgusting spleen.

And although eating my neighbour would be fun,
I wouldn't be caught dead doing it under the sun,
Unless I were truly were I psychopath on the run.

You know it doesn't really sound that appealing,
And I doubt it would be spiritually healing,
Just the thought might even leave me gasping and reeling.

Even though it's a good idea,
Cannibalism is something of which I steer clear,
And is a thing of which I have a perfectly rational fear.

So thus concludes my crappy rhyme,
Which I finished just in time,
For if I dwelled any longer on this subject, it could be considered a crime!

I would never eat human flesh. It's not just taboo, it's biologically wrong.

Eating the flesh of your own species provides very little energy and sustenance and has far too many health and psychological risks.

Cannibalism causes deadly brain diseases called Prion diseases [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/medical_notes/355601.stm], which can cause the victim to die a very nasty death.

This can be backed up by the Native American legends of the Wendigo [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendigo], who believe that anyone who ate human flesh because a monster.

They were half right, people who ate & survived on human flesh would become psychotically mad, turning murderous at the same time the disease laid waste to their bodies, giving them a very monstrous appearance, with their sickly pallid skin stretched tight over their skeletal frames, and their sharp broken teeth protruding from bleeding gums as they roamed the night howling due to brain damage and insomnia.

It's easy to see how a culture with modern knowledge of nutrition and diseases could mistake these wild, malnourished psychotic individuals for monsters, and many of the cultural taboos about cannibalism are based on good intuition, it's incredibly detrimental to the survival of any species to eat it's own, the health risks greatly outweigh any nutritional benefits.

Apart from me being vegetarian, I wouldn't really care. It's just meat like a cow's (except for some minor nutritional changes) so there's nothing wrong with eating human meat if you're an omnivore.
