I can remember a distinct memory where I played counter strike on the old half life engine in my cousins house. The first M rated game I owned was fallout 2 when i was about 9 or 7 years old(My dad trusted me and my mom didn't know)He said that I could handle it because I watched a mad max film other then that my pop's been really picky on M rated game,Like the second game was Halo 2(played 1, didn't owned it)So when i turned 13 my parents trusted in me that I understood the difference on whats real and what's not real. M rated games I own so far

Call of duty up to black ops
All the halos
Half life 2
orange box
Fell in love with the battlefield series
All the elder scrolls
killzone 2
Dragon age
Most of the fallouts

P.S. fallout 2 scared the shit out of me(mostly the uncanny faces)

I was probably about 7 and my brother was about 6, we played resident evil together. I mostly watched him 'cos I just wasn't into it that much. Same happened with resident evil 2 and then I got into as well at 3.

I did get into manhunt though, which would have been was I about 14. We also played dino crisis on release, we didn't get very far for some reason. (after 50 hours we weren't much further than the t rex's head through the window bit)

It just never seemed like a big deal that we would play 15/18 games, our mum just bought them we played them and that was that. We never had nightmares or were exceptionally scared (of course when the dog jumps through the window we jumped but we never cried from fear).

I don't really remember. Sega games weren't rated and I've been played Duke Nukem 3D for as long as I can remember. There were a few games they wouldn't let me play (and they didn't like me playing DN). It wasn't that I wanted to play M games, I just wanted to play games and my dad, being an adult gamer, bought mature games. If he wanted me to stop playing his games he'd buy me a more age appropriate one and I was just as happy.

I didn't get to play my first M rated game until I was 14, my parents finally decided I was mature enough to play them without turning into a crazy serial killer.

They were wrong of course. Mwuhahahaha.

First M rated game I played was Turok Dinosaur Hunter on the Nintendo 64 back when I was 10. I don't think it drove me mad, plenty of other things that happened later on did that.

None of those. I've played them since I was about 3. They're games, not nuclear weapons.

I was about 12-13 or so when I finally got around to playing a few M-rated games. The major ones I remember were Silent Hill 1 and Half-Life 1. Great games. :D

GTA when I was 8-9. Played it at a friends house. Mom was pissed when she found out.
She would let me play any game but GTA. When she remarried my step-dad got rid of some of them because of being about cults.

He thought They wore going to brainwash me!

I played Dawn of War:DC when I was nine. I assume you're talking about ESRB here, NZ uses OFLC so some M17+ games are 'M' which is the restriction after PG and before R.

My parents were actually VERY strict about me not playing M games, however that didn't stop me from falling in love with the Resident Evil series. My dad played the first one when it first came out and I watched him play it. I had never been so terrified yet intrigued. I grew to love the series but had to keep a distance from it due to my parents' strict rules. But when RE4 came out, I wanted it more than anything in the world. It took 3 months to convince my parents to consider letting me have it. They weren't going to budge. So I got an idea, I asked on my 13th birthday for NOTHING. I wanted no presents. The ONLY thing I asked for was permission to buy and play RE4. After days of talking to each other, they finally agreed and I was allowed to buy one M game. It was the single greatest moment of my life. I bought RE4 the day it came out on PS2 and still play it to this day.

15. Too put that in perspective, that's the same time my 11 year old brother started playing M-Rated games. It's fun having right-winged parents. Sex and swearing? That's bad. Guns and violence? Boys will be boys.

I don't really know. I know I first played DOOM on my cousin's computer when I was about 8 or so and my Mom was about to have a conniption.
