I prefer vodka. It tatses like shit but I hate the PROCESS of drinking, but the effect is awesome.
If the voka you drink tastes like shit, buy better vodka. A good vodka shouldn't have any taste (like water), but will hit you like a Mack truck. I recommend Finlandia, or if you can find it, Red Army...that stuff is damned fine.

Russian Standard Vodka, casually it's nice with just a little orange juice, of course later when I need to forget how much I damn well paid for it I'll be chuggin' it down in shots.

I love apple cider, it tastes just like apple juice just with alcohol! I don't mind vodka either but not when it's all you can taste.

I love beer.

Pilsner, lager, ale, you name it.
It needs to be brewed by the Purity Law [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot] though.

I also enjoy white wine, but it needs to be Riesling.

Absinthe?
I'd like to try that, but getting a hold of proper Absinthe is proving difficult.

Never has found one with Wormwood.

As far as beer goes, I'm partial to Dos Equis Ambar for a relaxing time and Bud Light to get blasted with. For the hard stuff, I do like Jack Daniels, either on the rocks or with coke.

Lately, I've become a fan of Wild Turkey American Honey and Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. They are pretty damn tasty, but I'd give the edge to American Honey because it goes down smoother. On the other hand, Tennessee Honey has a stronger honey aftertaste.

I'm only halfway through my 21st year, so I'm not too familiar with many drinks. My favorite so far, though, it probably spiced rum. The Captain is my friend.

Whiskey, definitely.

I don't like beer.
Wine doesn't pair well with the food I cook.
Vodka never really did anything for me (and memories of Dubra in college still haunt me to this day).
Rum is just awful, gives me terrible hangovers and just doesn't taste very good.

...there are some tasty "Others", but I'll just stick to whiskey and mixed drinks.

I've only had beer, wine, chocolate liquer and drambuie (don't ask), so I'll go with beer. Specifically some light beer I had at some point, probably Monteith's.

there is nothing like a cold beer after a long crappy day!

beside that i enjoy mostly all sorsts of alcohol, but i cant stand ciders and coolers, they make me feel feverish for some strange reason, neither cant i stand liqueurs, no big fan of sweet alcohol at all!

I do not prefer to drink at all as I have a interesting tongue that can taste, nauseatingly so, alcohol.

It is so overwhelming to the point my stomach will turn at just a strong enough smell of the stuff. This has ensured that I get drunk, very, very rarely, as I have a huge disadvantage. The only way to overcome it is, ironically, getting drunk to the point you loose taste on something so strong flavored that you worry more about it then the alcohol taste.

For that, I will always go for the green fairy of drinks... Absinthe. Not that pissy fake stuff either, the traditional stuff. The herbal alcohol is also very good for keeping your head 'clear' which makes the punch all that more unexpected when you topple over.

Used to brew Russian style Imperial Stout back in Alaska. Miss those days. Content myself with scotch whiskey now; Glenlivet.
