This is a simple thread about man and viruses(well computer ones at least).
Here I hope we can discuss any software problems anyone may have and how we can keep our systems safe.

I use Norton in combination with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Malwarebytes is a fantastic program.

Avast! It be the best software out thar, me matey! And it be free!

Seriously, I have a friend who works in IT, he can't recommend Avast enough. I switched from Norton and couldn't be happier. Of course, I also have a linux netbook, so that has nothing on it.

AVG Free. Better than most, cheaper than all. And only taking 15MB of RAM at the current moment.
Basically everything they have said, 100% agree

Thread instantly attracts egotistical linux users.

*sigh*

You should not feel the need to BRAG about not needing virus protection, Because its linux that does it. Not you.

I use mcafee on my desktop, Norton on my laptop. Superantispyware on both, I would have norton on the desktop, but mcafee was free with the computer.

Never had any problems with viruses in ever.

AVG Free. Clean, simple and reliable. The only thing that ever got by it was a nasty rootkit I got a few months ago, but that thing was demonic...

AVG Free backed up by Avast! It's a pretty impressive wall against viruses. Haven't had any problems since I combined the two. I highly recommend both.
