Nod 32 but i'm thinking of a change
I'm curious, why? I've used it for a few years and it's done great for me. Most importantly, not a resource-hog.
i've been told that AVG gets better results on scans, but as i remember it takes more ram... that's the dilemma.

McAfee - the 'needy kid' of the antivirus world. Constantly telling me what it's just done, taking up all my goddamn RAM, reminding me for the billionth time to renew my subscription...

Having said that, it does the job. Swings and roundabouts.

I'm glad I'm seeing so few McAfee users. That thing is a 'legit' virus. An entire hospital computer system had to shut down in my home town due to an, "Update," a day or so ago (No meds could be ordered, No computer-dependent equipment could function, etc.). It took my old school district along with it as well! Everyone was up and running within a few hours, but it wreaked havoc on quite a few systems that depend on it while it was doing... Whatever it is that it does.

McAfee is a piece of trash!

Norton isn't particularly perfect either, but it serves me well.

dude, Webroot(switching to AVG free once that runs out) with Comodo firewall(which is becoming quite shitty so i"m thinking of getting rid of it in favor of something else).

I use an amalgamation of iobit, AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. It may slow down my computer but no more than using Norton. Plus it leaves me pretty secure.

Linux is no virus-free king anymore. Have been using no antivirus since 2007/Vista. I keep viruses as pets in certain archives, just to make fun of them. Though, last online scan I took destroyed parts of them (Windows thought like crapping out, so I took it as a precaution).

Man they are bastards. Didn't even ask, if I want to keep my pets... and I fucking configured it TO ALWAYS ASK.

Avira. Far better than any of the others mentioned and free.

Also have Spybot and a number of other protection programs running.

I'm an AVG person - it's pretty efficient, and it's Free more importantly... So it all works out fairly nicely.

I've used Norton for a while now, but my subscription is running out today, so I'm changing to Avast.
