I would say the large amounts of camping, the glitches that keep popping up, the tactical knife runners, and the unbalanced weapons.

Other: no beta

Plain and simple, if you want to have a good, unbroken multiplayer out of the box, a beta is absolutely necessary. That's not to say that it would have fixed all of the problems, but it sure would have helped. Instead of releasing the game and using the first year to fix it, they could have had a beta a few months earlier and fixed most of the problems in less time because the game hadn't shipped yet.
As seen by MoH right now. If you use a killstreak in the beta, it freezes and you have to reboot your system. What if that was out at launch?!?

OT: Unbalanced weapons should count as the player weapons as well as the killstreaks, which are ridiculous at times. The people who play the game should be added as well. There's the players that play the game as expected, then there are the ones that use Sniper SMGs, infinite n00b t00bs, and OP killstreaks just to get kills. It makes the game frustrating more then anything, really. I do just fine with the 3,5,6 killstreak and nothing special on the rifles. I can do the work myself if all I want is kills, but I like helping my team win too. Those people are just selfish kill-whores that ruin the game.

Okie doke. Everything from drop shotting to quick scoping to noob tubing is fine by me. What broke MW2 is the fuckin' players constantly trying to find ways to cheat.

[small]Me and other modders with Jtagged xboxs, hosting tenth prestige lobbies and infecting people with aimbots.[/small]

Err... I mean... Killstreaks. They are so overpowered all you need to do is camp a corner and get air support and the Team Deathmatch is won.

[small]The Jtagging did not help :)[/small]

Quick scoping? Seriously?
Go make an intervention class and try to kill people at mid/short range while quickscoping.
It's not easy.

It's one of the only things in the game that requires some skill.

IMLTHO, MW2 being targeted to the mainstream demographic broke MW2. But I'm an unusually picky gamer whose higher standards relegate all but a few gems to the status of shovelware in his mind.

okay so i thought the perks (except commando) were pretty balanced. the weapons, attachments and kill-streaks weren't. It has the most screaming 12 year olds that I've ever seen gathered in one place and this:

Mostly, the people. They are the reason for the cheap tactics and the total idiocy that occurs in that game. The only time I ever play that game online is if I want to go griefing.
The game is absolutely fine. The community is complete shit. That and the fact that there are no pro mod playlists.

Let's just put the commando, danger closing, modding kids in a little locked off area and let them have at each other. I'm sure they will all wear each other down eventually, and then the rest of us adults will find something new to complain about. A little fun fact about Call of Duty, Every single kill is cheap in some way. There will always be something wrong with the game, but thats the way it was made, and thats what the fans have fallen in love with.

the one and only reason i quit mw2 is because of the danger close noob tube one man army. i have nearly split my control in two and stopped playing all together because of it. mw2 was so much fun before people started to use it now its just a pain in the ass
Yep, luckily I had lost the xbox for about two months before hand, so Danger Closing wasnt enough of a game breaker for me to quit because I was so desperate and thankful to even be playing. A few days ago I had the entire house to myself and got into a lobby with nearly every single person tubing and a modded lobby where you had to aim down sights to actually kill people. I thought I was being paranoid too, except that I even tested it by sneaking up behind someone and unloading my entire clip into his back with a single hit. I honestly have never been so pissed at a videogame.

Commando, lag, boosting, noob-tubes, the community, and the fact it makes everyone so damn aggressive.
I'm awaiting a beating from some one at school this Monday because I shot down his pave-low!

The people. The game itself could have been fun enough (for a simplistic, mindless shooter) but there are just way too many douchebag tactics available which 98% of the people of course use limitlessly. And that's not even counting the glitchers and hackers...

dedicated servers for me. I could have fun.. if the games didnt end in 5 mins i want to play for hours getting hundreds of kills (ofc more OP kill streaks would have to go)
