I'd probably be a healer.
I like to support my team >.>
Such as on Call of Duty 3, playing as the medic and taking whatever risks to get to downed allies >.>
Damn, I miss playing that...

Mage most likely. I'm a coward. I can hold my own in a physical fight, but I'd prefer to stand over there, flinging spells at you.

Chaotic Neutral: It makes firing into melee a whole lot more fun.

Why yes, I am an Elven archer in any game that has elves and bows. How'd you know?

The brute force warrior. Simple and straight forward. I solve problems by hitting it with the nearest sword or if necessary blunt object. If a problem can't be solved with brute force, then you're just not using enough of it.

MMORPG?
Eh, I've covered the entire spectrum in those. I'm best suited to whatever is needed at the time really.

Probably Ranger since I'm a sucker for skirmish tactics.

Mage because I am always strategical and I do love magical fireballs and the like. Though I do kind of enjoy close-quarter combat weapons from time to time as well.

Never played an MMO, do not intend to start any time soon.

In some 15 years of DnD I made my first ever Ranger a couple months back. Before that there was a cavalcade of Bards, Monks, a single dex-fighter who focused everything on his Armor Class (he was a Barbarian/Monk/Rogue/Fighter/Duelist, let's get twinky, he hit 53AC at level 15) and one memorable instance where I felt I simply had to be a good gnome necromancer.

My fave is the Bard though. I love playing classes that fall outside the boxes of this poll. It's the reason LotRo is the only MMO I'm currently even vaguely considering playing.

So, anybody else here been a healer in Dark Age of Camelot? Mending/Pacification spec to be exact. ML spec - Perfection
Damage - nope
Healing - yes
Tanking - nope
Crowd Control - yes

When your job is to ensure nobody dies, you get the right tools. Those tools are lots of healing, and lots of stun and Mez effects. Not everybody can pull this class off. Most people can't pull it off.

Self Rez + EoY Rez = lots of time not spent running from the bind points.

I don't play MMOs so all my experience comes from fantasy RPGs but here goes
Probably mage. I find that mages are the most versatile in that they can have both defensive and defensive magic, attack from both a distance and up close and they can do basic healing making them the best since they have the widest range of course this all depends on the game you are playing but it is pretty standard

I've always been a Mage, from my shitty days on Runescape (though it was awesome at the time obviously) to my pretty damn good days in Runes of Magic now.
Mages rape everything.

Usually, I'd pick the fighter. I don't know what it is about them that makes them look more appealing than a mage as setting things on fire IS pretty tempting, but I kinda like to go up to things and yell "STAB!"

Wow I've never seen such a closely contested poll? There all within pixels of each other.

OT: Mage
1) they're the most Bad-ass, 2) They do the most damage, 3) they look the coolest whilst doing that damage 4) Yahtzee plays a mage and 5) watch his last review (WoW:cataclysm) and he mentions a couple reasons why he plays mage.....those.

I usually go for anything that can satisfy the one-shot-one-kill-concept (Sniper in TF2, Rogue in vanilla-WoW (maybe not one shot, but still) etc).

Out of those four... Healer.
