Preferably some kind of Tank. It always feels cool to stand in the middle of a crowd of enemies and just take everything they can throw at you. It has the added benefit of making solo play fucking easy. Sure, it's nice to throw fireballs around and fry mobs with lightning, but if the enemies can't out damage your health regen then your victory is inevitable.

I have no idea what they are. All I want is to have a ton of heavy armour and a massive chunk of metal strapped to my arm.

I'm more of a mage. In all the role-playing games I've played, I've been a sorcerer (D&D) or a Psyker(Dark Heresy). I soon plan on being a Combat oreiented mage(Shadowrun).

I just love the idea of needing only yourself to kill enemies by making them explode in fire. You also need to creatively utilize all your spells to be most effective.

Mage! Fireballs and lightning storms. Pretty cool shit. You've also got the added option of going completely batshit loco and trying to take over the world (or at least the kingdom)

I normally choose whichever has the biggest weapon. I mean, I don't care for regular swords, but broadswords are pretty cool and if there is a giant hammer or axe I am all over that. One reason being that I find the image of a slim female character representing myself wielding a giant weapon to be hilarious. The other and more dominate reason is that I am extremely bad at aiming at things when I'm not in a first person perspective. Give me a ranged or AoE attack and I will give you five dead fellow party members.

Oh, and hitting things is fun.
