While i could never bring myself to say that i do love Cologne (It's a kind of weirdly built up city since i always find my way into it, but NEVER out, instead ending up in districts that look pretty much like slums), still, goddamnit, you people have the best concert venues, the biggest music store in europe, that gigantic cinema with the AWESOME Fantasy Film Festival AND the gamescom.

...Your city by itself kinda sucks, but you really do make up for it, and that's great ^^

I agree, the inner city isn't the nicest place to visit (although the Cologne Cathedral is beautiful), but the outer parts of Cologne are good. I live in Porz (south-east of Cologne); and here are many trees and there are peaceful, clean places and everything. At lweast in some districts of Porz.

I have met a few people from the Netherlands...mostly when I traveled through there. Whats your take on the Red light district (I have mostly heard negative from those from the Netherlands)

its just part of the Netherlands most people from the USA only know the drug policy windmills and the whores its part of the Netherlands just like guns are a part of the USA

Don't you mean "Just like beer and hockey are for Canada." But still I'm not sure I follow, I have heard that natives from Netherlands, especially Amsterdam, hate the sterotype that the red light district presents because it is so different from the culture surrounding it.
I'm wondering your take...could you elaborate?
