I have met a few people from the Netherlands...mostly when I traveled through there. Whats your take on the Red light district (I have mostly heard negative from those from the Netherlands)

Im all for it, most of the younger Dutch are. But the way it's going, it will probably dissappear in the next year or so. Police is cracking down on it since it is often connected to (sex)slave-traders which is a good thing. But it's mostly religious puritains that are really against it and just want to get rid of it because "what will the (European) neigbors say?".
Shame really, those prostitutes provide a service, rape statistics are still down now, i wonder what will happen when the redlight districts gets closed down *shudders*
