So tell me, escapist: You've just beaten a game you bought last week, what do you do next? Do you keep it, sell it, or what?

Personally, I keep almost all of my games. It's very common for me to want to pick up a game and give it another playthrough or mess around with it after not touching it for months or even years.

I remember at one point I did sell a few games I had for the original Xbox, trying to get money for a new game coming out. Amongst several others, I sold KOTOR and KOTOR 2, and now dearly wish I hadn't. Lesson learned!

I keep them. I almost never get rid of any games of mine. Don't know why, I just like to keep things even if I won't play it again.

Keep them as trophies of my accomplishments. That's the one downside to digital distribution, it robs me of my trophy.

It depend how much I like that game. If it was a good game then I keep hold of it while if I didn't like the game then I would trade it in.

By the time im completely done with a game theyre worth like 4 bucks at a trade in spot. i either give them to a bud or wait for that day when you have that sudden urge to go back to a game. Thank god I never got rid of battle for middle earth. I get almost monthly urges now

I keep them because I know as soon as I get rid of them I will want to play them again.

Also, because Gamestop will just give you like $2 for every game i own. Maybe except for Dragon Age 2 , but I bought that for around $63 and they would give me like $20. Not like I would sell that, though.

If I beat a game that I just bought a week ago, it's going back to the store for some in-store credit. Beating a game that quickly usually tells me it wasn't worth the purchase and I should've rented it instead.

Most games that I value take me several months to beat, factoring in my personal time, the length of the game and challenge of its content. If I really enjoyed it and want to share it with others, I keep it as part of a collection. If I don't think I'll ever play it again or that anyone else in my social circle has interest, it gets traded in for store credit. Honestly, I'd much rather keep all my games but it's more economical to do a trade-in nowadays.

I keep them. I've never been good at getting rid of stuff I own, it must be the hoarder mentality I got from my parents...

Besides, as others have said, I might want to play them again. It does happen, even when i have got an enormous backlog of games I'm yet to even touch...

I never let go of my games. Heck, I have some games that I got when I was six that I still occasionally play.

I keep them. Even the bad ones.
Who knows when I may want to play one of them again.
And I have this silly habit of collecting things...
But I've let my friends borrow quite a few of my games.

Keep them for future playthroughs.
Unless it's a really bad game like Terminator Salvation, then I throw it away.

I've always kept the games I buy.

There aren't that many possibilities for trading or selling games around here that I'm aware of so...

Usually lend them to my mate once I've finished with it and he'll do the same with his new purchases. That way we get to play games that neither of us were planning to buy...

If it's a new game that I hated or couldn't be bothered to finish I'll trade it in whilst it's worth something. I tend to keep everything else. I remember selling all my xbox games that weren't 360 compatible... I know it was a fair amount but can't remember most of them. Blood Omen 2 and MGS2 standout as particularly lamentable trades though.

I keep them, mainly because, like mention above, I might want to play them again someday.

Or keep them until i have kids, then share my childhood experiences with them.

Then bury myself with my favorites, and my Steam account information.

Keep hold of 'em.
Even if I didn't like the game that much, about a month later I'll want to play it again if I've traded it in. A case of always wanting what I can't have, I guess.
