Actually very few do it well, probably because most people who try it go into it with the attitude of thinking "anybody can do that". Trust me, I get rap submissions every week at my record label and while anybody can turn on a drum machine and add some sub-bass, very, very few people know how to write a decent rap beat. There's an unquestionable art to it, which involves knowledge of more things than just the obvious.chemicalreaper said:I'm a composer, so having a knowledge of theory is a must (I mean for actual real composition.
