I like sinister looking weaponary, so I chose the MP5 normally, it just looks mean, sleek and nasty.
I like guns that look like evil things with evil intentions, like the MP5 for instance, I reckon if left to its own devices it would go rob and old lady, all of its own accord. But it doesn't need the money oh no! after all its just a gun, it purely does it to pass the time!
edit, furthermore, I'm a sucker for hard things in games, so I like the fast car that doesn't turn very well, and for guns, the MP5 normally is the worse of the SMG's, doesn't live up to the AK47 but thats what I like, things that are hard to handle.

Accuracy. What's the point of power and rate of fire if you can't shoot someone in the natches 2 miles away?
Accuracy mostly, with Power second and Rate of Fire last. I usually prefer bolt/level action or semi-automatic rifles whenever possible, such as a good sniper rifle, a kar98k or M1 Garand if it's a WWII game, or something like the M14 if it's a more modern game like COD4.
I like 'jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none' kind of weapons. Decent range, medium fire rate, fair accuracy with maybe light zoom. Something like the Battle Rifle or Carbine from the halo games, or the rifles in Exteel (especially the Blue Tempest and Iron Curtain).
Generally speaking I look for the best gun for the situation at hand, which means I'm looking for balance I suppose. If the gun can't be found to match my problem set, then I just need to change my problem set.
I go for accuracy, which are hopefully semi-automatic.

No. No I wouldn't. Semi-automatic weapons are superior in every way. You can maintain your accuracy (Compared to an automatic, you're a lot more accurate when you go semi.) and most games have the semi's being more powerful.
