in Freedom fighters I tend to stick to the AK-47 its a good all rounder and running out of ammo in a fire fight is bad

Accuracy. I take a rifle over anything else. I feel that a person with a rifle and good aim can be more effective than someone with an smg.
Coincidentally, the rifle is also the gun they give you the least ammo for. Maybe there's a reason for that.

Accurate size, weight, simulated gas-activated blowback, wireless, screen accuracy, rechargable batteries, real "drop/slap" clip reloading (not shoot offscreen... though the game must support this feature).
And it has to be under $20.
Fact is, people are paying way too f'n much for peripherals these days... and if there's one thing tons of FPSes have proven, evidently having a "gun in hand" is nowhere near a requirement for immersive gameplay.

I like accuracy. Headshots are critically important in many of the games I play (Stalker, for example, when I have a video card it doesn't hate). In Deus Ex, my favourite gun is the sniper rifle, because at level 4 I could 1-shot anyone with it.
