Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

I was circumsized for medical reasons during childhood and I hate being circumsized. If you want a comparison to know what it is like to have no forskin try this.

How many people have actually seen a baby get circumcised, It really isn't a pretty sight. As you'd expect, cutting off part of the penis hurts alot and sure babies usually won't remember it, but they sure do feel it.

Babies make it quite clear that they don't like being circumcised, what with the screaming and the crying, and the way they try to escape. Really not a pleasurable experiance right after you've been born.

If someone, old enough to understand the consequences, wants to be circumcised, then more power to you. Thankfully, most of us live in a society where we can make that choice, assuming, of course, that it wasn't made for you at birth. Parent's shouldn't be able to make the call for circumcision, unless they have genuine medical reasons to. Not this "more hygenic" bullcrap.

I don't really think it matters so long as all the parts continue to function properly. I was the first son, so when the doctor said "well, circumcision makes infection less likely" I think my parents just said "oh, okay". I don't really care.

I'm circumcised and can orgasm fine. Granted, I never had sex, but with my hand I can. I don't see how a vagina would negate the orgasm at all.

Hand =/= Vagina.

The tip of the penis is supoosed to be very sensitive and during sex that part is stimulated thanks to the vagina, masturbation on the other hand (if you will excuse the pun) is pretty much the jerking of the foreskin stimulating the shaft and the tip.

For circumsized people, the tip of the penis is calloused and rough from contact with the air and the inside of your underwear (or atleast in my case) and so an orgasm through intercourse is pretty damn hard.

I had phimosis, so, unless I wanted to rip my foreskin during sex, it had to go. They only got rid of the foreskin, though. I'm circumcised and quite frankly, glad that I am. Foreskin looks weird, and I've heard you have to peel it back and clean it and..yeah. I like my low maintenance regular looking penis, thank you very much.

I think it is fine and not really a huge deal. However, I think if it is done it should be the parents decision. I would much rather go under the knife as a newborn with no clue what is going on than to have it done later in life. I also believe anesthesia should be used.

I am circumcised for health and hygienic reasons, not religious ones. This is another reason I feel it should be the parent's choice. That way the child will benefit immediately instead of having to wait til they are old enough to make the choice themselves.

I don't really have an issue with that. Firstly, plenty of porn stars who are circumcised seem to orgasm just fine. And even if I do have an issue obtaining orgasm from intercourse that to me is a plus.

Also lasting longer is all a bunch of shit, I have been in a position when I am knackered from sex and just wanting to finish. It is fustrating for everyone involved even the girl/guy you are ontop of.

Shouldn't do it unless it's medical reasons. Circumcision for religious reasons shouldn't be done till the person is old enough to choose.
